Free Music Notes for Warriors Code (Dig)Free Music Review: Another great one Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is another great performance by DKM. They successfully take classic sounding Irish tunes and infuse them with hardcore punk. This disk contains hardhitting songs that make you want to raise your fist in the air plus some slower ones that make you feel like swaying back and forth with everyone at the pub, pint glass in hand obviously. How do these geniuses keep truning them out? Plus it has Mickey Ward on the cover of the album, what a bad muther!
Free Music Review: Can you believe it? Hit: 5 Stars
The bonus Tessie gives me goosebumps with Red Sox radio announcer Joe Castiglione's play-by-play of the magic moment. Every tune is great and grows on you with repeated listening. One of the best combinations of old and new music ever made, not to mention the combination of fun and meaningful. It sounds better every time I hear it, and my favorite song keeps changing. Last Letter Home is heartbreaking and more real than any song lyric.
Free Music Review: Awesome as always Hit: 5 Stars
This is definitely one of Dropkick's best cd's yet. Awesome as always though. No band can beat this one out. These songs have true meaning and they have a great celtic/rock sound. From bagpipes to drums they have all the best things that they could ever need. And you have to give some credit to the Boston Red Sox.....even though i'm a Cubs fan. They still won the World Series and DKM's did the song "Tessie" for them.
Free Music Review: Punk/Irish Folk Who knew it would fit together so well? Hit: 5 Stars
I had heard the Dropkick Murphys before on some Punk-O-Rama cds, and liked thier music, but I just never bought a cd until the Warrior's Code. This is one of if not THE best cd I have heard in a very long time. From the upbeat riffs of "Your Spirit's Alive" to the somber melody and lyrics of "The Green Fields of France" this cd does not disappoint from start to finish!
Free Music Review: Blue Collar is Back Hit: 5 Stars
The Murphys new album is amazing. They have been dogged for either having too much celtic music or too much punk in their songs. I personally the skinhead punk more, but this album is a perfect blend of both. All the songs are very feel good and seems like they had a lot of fun making the album. Any Murphys fan who denies this album is in denial.
