Free Music Review: Gwyneth Paltrow.... Who Knew??!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This Cd is totaly amazing. Huey Lewis butchers Joe Cocker's "Feeling Alright" but Paltrow hits it on the head with "Bette Davis Eyes". To hear her sing on this song was worth the money I spent for the CD. "Cruisin" is another great song. Gwyneth Paltrow's voice really blends with Huey's voice and they make a great pair singing. Maria Bello has two songs on this album and her voice is extrodinary which wasn't a surprise since I always thought that her speaking voice was nice. John Pinette ( a comedian) sings Copacaban pretty good. On the whole the album is really good, but for me the whole album was worth hearing Gwyneth Paltrow sing Bette Davis Eyes!

Free Music Review: What's your email, T-LEE?
Hit: 5 Stars

Fun movie, great music! The song missing, T-LEE, is "Rock n Roll, Part 2", also known as "The Hockey Song". I've always been a fan of Huey Lewis, and his "Cruisin'" duet with Gwenneth shows that she's a great singer, too. Maria Bello holds her own with "Sweet Dreams" and "I Can't Make You Love Me", but the real surprise is Paul Giamatti. I would have never dreamed that he could sing, and in fact thought that his part was dubbed until I saw the credits. It made the film that much more enjoyable the second time around to know all these guys (except Andre Braugher) were singing their own songs. Good job!

Free Music Review: Gwyneth can sing!
Hit: 5 Stars

I didn't know that Gwyneth Paltrow has such a nice voice! I first heard a piece of "Cruisin'" in the preview of the movie, and I got hooked on it! No, I've never seen the movie, but this soundtrack is great! The highlights of this cd include "Cruisin'" sung by Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis, "Just My Imagination" sung by Gwyneth and Babyface, "Sweet Dreams" sung by Maria Bello, and John Pinette's hilarious rendition of "Copacabana". I like these songs the best, and the other songs are excellent also... I'd also like to say that these new versions of these songs are too good to be karoake!

Free Music Review: Movie Stars that CAN sing!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was so surprised when I heard Gwyneth Paltrow sing. Since her movie career has taken a dive lately, maybe she should consider quitting her day job and start a singing career, because she has skills! Her and Huey Lewis are a GREAT combo. I'm serious she sounds like she was born to sing. And Maria Bello, I'm impressed with her. I love Bello and think she is amazing on this album. Granted, not all the songs are stellar, but Paltrow, Huey Lewis, Maria Bello, and Babyface make this soundtrack a true jewel. I think it's really a romantic album and very soothing, so BUY IT!

Just my opinion....

Free Music Review: what a GREAT cd...
Hit: 5 Stars

...what was especially nice is that the cd arrived in the mail just as i returned home from seeing the movie. (the movie, by the way, was terrific, too-- and not just Gwynth-- all the actors!) i was able to play it right away...and it was amazing how it brought me back to scenes in the flick...BUT even if you don't see the movie-- even if you don't like kareoke -- this is a great mix of tunes with a great mix of voices..very, very special.
