Duffy's CD, "Rockferry" is an instant classic. Several people had mentioned her to me but I had no reaction. I then ordered a copy from Amazon because it was CHEAP! Well, once received, we kept hitting repeat play. For anyone who loves that 60's sound (Dusty Springfield type orchestrations abound!) they'll love this CD. Duffy has a unique sound that should propel her to super-stardom if only someone will give this woman some corporate support and LOTS of radio play. I'd hate to see her fall through the cracks........SHE'S TOO GOOD FOR THAT! EXCELLENT!!!!!!Free Music Review: Duffalicious

This CD is simply awesome. The music on it is very engaging and the mix of upbeat and slower songs is near perfect. Duffy has a very soulful voice and reminds me of a young Diana Ross. If she were to put together a tribute album of Diana Ross songs it would be killer! There's not much new music these days that get me excited but Duffy, along with One Republic, have gotten my attention. The song "Mercy" is an instant classic and "Stepping Stone" has a wonderful vibe that you'd swear came straight from Motown. Do yourself a favor and give this CD a listen.Free Music Review: Duffy rocks!

She's the best of 60's r&b, and all her own brand new sound.
I wore out this CD, because every single song is fantastic.
I went to her homepage, and her newest song is hot! She's spotlighted in a little black suit, has dancers surrounding her. I hope she continues to make music because she is unlike anyone else, and has a voice that is hard to describe, but is emotional and articulate.
Her video of "Warwick Avenue" was tremendous, and added another layer of complexity to her that sold me. If that was acting, she's damn good.

If you are sick to death of "Whinehouse" and her crack-smoke halo, then move over to Duffy. There is nothing here to disappoint, not the music or the message. How can one so young cast such a spell? Plaintive and soulful, Duffy has a unique sound- and she vocalizes experiences we have all had to deal with. "Stepping Stone" is by far the best piece, although most will recognize "Mercy" from the air-play. My only complaint- "Ready for the Floor" is not in the mix. I heard Duffy on a Luftansa soundtrack two moths ago (Stepping Stone). I was blown away by this voice and searched in vain. Then I heard this song coverered in a Munich club by a Duffy look alike. I finally was able to hunt her down and am very glad I did. I am a huge Dusty Springfield fan and this artist is a gem who will only grow in importance as her career advances.
I fear for Amy Winehouse, another big talent, but I see Duffy as the real deal. May she have great success. There is not a bad track on this whole CD.
