Free Music Review: Unbelievably good record DD! Great job!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow! This cd will blow you out of the water!~
New fans and old fans alike will love this great piece of music!
I am a fan from back in the day, and have been waiting for a long time for the guys to reunite, and the wait was worth it!

Holy cow, this cd is great! This is one of Duran Duran's most COHESIVE and FUN cds ever! My favorite DD cd is Notorious, but this one is definitely catching up fast!
Standout tracks....ALL OF THEM!
Want You More!-A GREAT ROCKER, very sexy, lots of space age keyboards provided by Mr.Nick Rhodes..the chorus is very fast, and the sounds in this song are amazing!!

Bedroom Toys-Very Very cheeky and funny! It is about finding certain 'toys' in the bedroom area...very fun and different!!

Whatever Happens Tomorrow-Very much like Ordinary World to me...upbeat with a great message!

Basically, this album is a MUST have, along with many of DD's albums. They have outdone themselves this time, it would be a shame not to own this great cd!

Free Music Review: Most excellent reunion
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been a fan of Duran Duran since about 1984, and have a complete collection of cds (as well as many worn-out cassettes). I'm one of probably very few people who know the words to all of the songs on 'Liberty.' Duran Duran is the one band I never get tired of, and I've never heard one of their songs that I actually dislike. Some are better than others, but there's not one that I hate.

Five of the songs on 'Astronaut' are now among my very favorites. 'Astronaut' is at least as good as 'Rio.' I don't really want to know, though I can certainly guess, what exactly they're talking about in the title song, but it is now my very favorite of all DD songs. Go fig. I've been listening to this cd over and over during my commute and though I must've heard it at least a hundred times now I'm still not tired of it.

If you're a classical DD fan, you'll love 'Astronaut.' If you don't know anything about DD, try it out as an antidote to the canned crap that currently floods the airwaves.

Free Music Review: DD is back and better than EVER!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is PHENOMENAL!! OK, I admit, I am a bit partial. I have been a Duranie since 1981-however, I also have a realistic approach to things. The albums after the band split were decent, but definitely missing the chemistry of the original 5. "Astronaut" takes you back to those days when the "grown up" world seemed like we would never get there. A time when we didn't have much to worry about. Not because the music is the same, but the mood is. The first half is packed with songs that make you want to get up, dance and sing as if no one was watching (and you wouldn't really care if anyone was!). The second half is made up of tracks that are serious, deep, and really make you reflect on the world around you. I truly feel that this is their best work to date. If you are a Duran Duran fan, you will definitely love it. For those who are not fans-it is certainly worth taking a listen. I am confident that you will find yourself humming a line or two when you least expect it!! ENJOY!!! :)

Free Music Review: A Great Return to Form
Hit: 5 Stars

First off, let me start w/a disclaimer: if you hated Duran Duran in the 80's, then you'll probably hate them even more now! Why, you may be asking? Because ASTRONAUT brings back the classic, sexy feel of Duran Duran in a much more intelligent way. In other words, the Fab 5 are back and making even better pop/rock songs than before! This album is sure to please old school Durannies and 2nd (or 3rd?) generation Durannies as well! Album highlights: the hopeful double of "What Happens Tomorrow"<--(definitely next single) & "Finest Hour"; sexy, dancy, and intelligent grooves on "Astronaut", "Nice", & "Taste the Summer"; and darker mood swings on "Chains", "Point of No Return", and "Still Breathing." The extra DVD (part documentary, part live concert, and part video) is essential for any young musicians who cannot translate their studio efforts onto a live stage. Take off into orbit with an ASTRONAUT or you'll be left behind!

Free Music Review: THE ASTRONAUT HAS LANDED!
Hit: 5 Stars

I just want to say that this CD/DVD picks up where Duran Duran's last original lineup left off. And it delivers. I had the opportunity of standing in line at Virgin yesterday for two hours to have the band sign it, and the DJ's in the store had the new disc on repeat. Those songs will get in your head, sure enough! "Sunrise" is a great uplifting song, a good pick-me-upper. I have to say so far my favs are "Nice" (love the vocoder chorus!), "Bedroom Toys" (this is absolutely funky! and the way the tune is 'rapped' is crafty and brilliant), and "Still Breathing" (this would be a great chillout track). Usually, I'll buy a CD only to find that one or two songs are good while the rest of the tracks are utter and complete(...). Duran Duran did really really well on this and EVERY song (let me repeat) EVERY song has got something cool about it.
Buy this CD most definately if you are a Duranie. If you're not, STILL buy it because you will get into these funky lil' tunes!!! (...)
