Free Music Review: D2 will forever be in my heart

Nick, John, Simon, Roger and Andy. These were the first men I ever fell in love with (Well, poor Andy is pretty busted, but the rest make up for it). At one point in my life I have had 376 pictures of the Fab Five plastered on my walls. I was TRULY obsessed. Every drop of my allowance went towards my Duran Duran collection. I love every single song on this album.
I saw them in concert this year and they are a hot as ever and it was sooo fun to pretend to be 12 again for just one night as my friend and I drooled and screamed our heads off the entire concert. MUCH more fun this time since I could partake in adult beveridges unlike my fist D2 concert in sixth grade.
These songs just put me in a terrific mood and sound just as great today as they did 20 years ago (God I'm old!)

One night before going to bed I just happened to see the video "Save a Prayer" on Much Music. Before this, I had always thought of Duran Duran as some 80's band that I probably wouldn't like. However, that song hooked me, and I eventually bought "Greatest" simply because it had "Save a Prayer" on it. It's about a year later, and I can say that I like every song except for #17 and #18. Whenever I have a hard homework assignment to do at school, I always listen to this CD, as it keeps me going. It's sort of weird that a guy like me would like Duran Duran, especially since I was once a die-hard Nirvana fan, but I can honestly say that I absolutely love Duran Duran and their music. If you don't know what they're all about, I would definitely recommend this CD!Free Music Review: A brilliant overview of a great pop band.

Duran Duran were always derided as being more about image than substance, but if you really dig "pop" music, it doesn't get much better than this. These guys played all their own instruments and wrote all their own songs. They didn't need a big group of European producers in a studio somewhere in Sweden to write and produce all their stuff for them. Anyway, if you don't own anything by them, this is the perfect place to start. It has all of their big hits on it, and the sound is AMAZING. Sure they were pop, but I knew them as a "New Romantic" band when they first started...and this is some creative stuff. Now if Capitol would release a companion DVD, then my collection would be complete...Free Music Review: A sweet Duran collection in one disc

Though at first I thought this would be a cheap re-hash of the Decade album, I was happily surprised to find this actually IS the Greatest of Duran Duran's library as the album name claims. Not only are most of the favorites ("The Reflex", "Hungry like the Wolf") that made Duran Duran into icons of the 80's among the 19 tracks , but there are also some great lesser known tunes ("Planet Earth","Serious", "Electric Barberella") included as well. With the possible exception of "Skin Trade" there isn't a bad song on this album. You really don't need the case - once you put the disc in your CD changer you're not going to take it out.Free Music Review: Be Open Minded and just listen to the music

Duran Duran is an 80's Essential.......now that we live in a world dominated by crappy rap and bland nu-metal and don't forget those horrible scremo poseur punk bands like "Good Charlotte"........anyways Duran Duran is pop and when i say POP i dont mean GAY MICHAEL JACKSON LITTLE BOY POP A BONER MAN.........i mean smooth flowing songs......although all the songs are dated i find pleasure in listening to them although there are some songs that i can take seriously still such as Come Undone and even A View To A Kill some songs are cheesy but then remember it was the really worth the money good brittany spears Justin Timberlake and pick up some Duran Duran
