Free Music Notes for Greatest

Free Music Review: just good stuff
Hit: 5 Stars

This has every good and great song Duran Duran has done to date.
It even has the recent hit Come undone.

For the beginner Duran Duran fan this has all you need and all songs are worth playing.

For me this is a perfect replacement for all my old Duran Duran albums (yes those black round flat things). It only takes one slot in my CD changer and has all the good stuff I want from Duran Duran.

It has trimmed down versions of Save a prayer and Hungry like the wolf. Which to me is great, I prefer the shortend radio edits.

Excellent greatest hits disc and excellent value.

Free Music Review: Finding new layers of fond memories
Hit: 5 Stars

Like most people coming of age in the 1980's I fell in love with Duran Duran. Years later a friend gave me this CD as part of a "remember this?" gift. I remembered a lot of great things as I listened to the songs over and over but then, for the first time, I really listened to the lyrics and the multi-layered melodies that escaped me when I was younger. They really put a lot into their music and it's worth revisiting. You'll remember a more innocent time in your life and find new meanings to apply to your more hectic, adult life. The video collection is awesome as well. Men in make-up never looked so good!

Free Music Review: Overall, an enjoyable cd...
Hit: 5 Stars

and isn't that what it's all about- enjoying the songs? Okay, some of them are questionable (at least to me)...but The Reflex, A View To a Kill, Ordinary World (okay, you've heard it a million times, but it's still a beautiful song), Rio, Hungry Like the Wolf, Girls on Film, Planet Earth, Electric Barbarella, and Come Undone. Some of the other songs are so-so, and some of them are a little strange for my tastes, but I would definitely recommend this cd! (By the way, you don't have to be "old" to like this type of music- I'm 16 years old, and I think the bands from the 80's were awesome!)

Free Music Review: Duran Duran's greatest work!
Hit: 5 Stars

I had originally purchased the previous Duran Duran Greatest Hits collection entitled- Decade and was somewhat disappointed with its content! This makes up for it tremendously! All the best songs are compiled together on one superb collection! I personally feel that their two best songs: "Ordinary World" and "Save A Prayer" are really enhanced by this recording! I can't find a single weak song on this disc! A superb collection by an "art rock/pop rock" group whose appeal is based upon more than good looks, this group actually had a tremendous amount of talent!

Free Music Review: Diverse Song Selection - Includes All the Hits
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great compilation some of Duran Duran's best songs. It is highly recommended for someone new to the band, or if you just want one good overall CD of what the band is all about. These songs span a period of almost twenty years and are a testament to the bands long-lived and hard-fought talent. The recording job is top-quality and the CD is filled to the brim with good music. From "New Moon on Monday" to "Electric Barbarella", all these jams will get you dancing. For people who dis this band, let me ask you, have you accomplished this much?
