Free Music Review: What does everything mean ?

I don't know why people say that this is probably the weakest and poorest Duran Duran album... It just can't be ! This is probably one of their best ! "Serious" just takes you on a trip, "Violence of summer" is quite funny and takes you on a kinda sunny funny holiday, on a beach ; "My Antarctica" is just their most beautiful song with their deepest lyric ; "Venice drowning" builds a mystery ; "Downtown" is a catchy track with a slow sexy beat , "Liberty" is a song that has to be listened in a car... Every song is great, and unfortunately the commercial success was poor. I can't understand itIt'a great suite for the BIG THING of 1988, and starts the Nineties with a catchy and upbeating sound. After having listened to this album, you will find the Wedding Album (with hits like Ordinary World or Come Undone) a bit... poor or... too commercial to be true. Liberty isn't as uninspired.

Why do most fans of Duran Duran consider this the band's worst album? In my opinion it's one of their very best, up there with Rio. It's full of great songs: Rockers like 'First Impression' and 'Read My Lips', dance tracks like 'Can You Deal With It' and 'All Along The Water', and beautiful songs that send shivers down your spine and give you goose bumps like 'Serious' (should have been a worldwide number one), 'My Antarctica' and the title track. The production is excellent with all kinds of surprising sound effects and keyboard sounds popping up. It's also nice to hear really rockish guitars on a Duran Duran album. Last but not least, Simon is at his best on this disc, both what lyrics and singing is concerned. It's never too late to make up for your sins. Buy this one, and you will be forgiven!Free Music Review: This album is incredible!!!

duran duran's liberty is an incredibly great album. every song is great. this album spawned 2 great singles - serious, and violence of summer. Both singles were a huge success. this album has a unique sound to it, kind of like a mixture of pop, alternative. this album is very cutting edge. duran duran currently have a star on hollywood walk of fame that was issued in 1993, which proves that duran duran's massive climb to super stardom continued through the 1990's decade. today they are still extremely successful, and extremely popular. today they are more popular than ever. today duran duran now crosses over to every generation and to every age group. This album is Great and i highly recomend it to everyone.

The song "Liberty". PERFECT !
Simon's vocals on "My antartica"? You thought Palomino was good on 'Big thing'? "My Antartica" is like a part II.
"Serious" never got airplay in the USA ?
Please tell me why. For example, what were they playing on MTV in 1990? Nelson? Wilson Phillips? That's insane.
I guess probably a difficult year to be big in for any band. You weren't in the 80s and you weren't really known for the 90s yet either. Liberty is clearly the best kept secret of 1990.

At this point, Duran Duran had already lost two members, but their unity was tighter than ever. Their 1990 masterpiece "Liberty" shows Duran Duran at their total best with classic singles like "Violence of Summer" and "Serious." Well, it'd be really "serious" if you didn't get this album! Like everything else in the Duran Duran catalogue, "Liberty" sold like hotcakes and made millions for the group. It proved that Simon LeBon and Nick Rhodes and John Taylor are LEGENDS and they tower over everyone else. I'm running out of ways to praise Duran Duran, so I'll say this: you NEED to get this album now!
