Free Music Review: Not as bad as everyone thinks!

This album is not as bad as everyone thinks it is. It has some great songs and some not so great songs. I think that it suffered from the musical change of the 90's. I think Violence of Summer is an awesome song as is Serious. If you are a D2 fan then you have this album. If you are not a D2 fan you would not be reading this review. IF you are just getting into D2 then I would highly recommend Rio and Duran Duran and the earlier music first, but also buy this one. "Liberty"...wow, what can I say about "Liberty"...from "All Along the Water" to "Serious" to "My Antarctica", a delicious album full of the hints of the dynamic and well-varied band that would later go on to record "Medazzaland". It's a bit overstyled in the hands of Chris Kimsey, a bit overpolished, but well worth the buy.Free Music Review: Better than you think...

I have to agree with Benjamin C. Cunning, not only because he's from my husband's hometown, but also because he made a good point. This is a good album, it did have potential, and it is worth owning! The song "Serious", is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's mix of powerful vocals and music are definately worth listening to over and over again!

Not as good as the Wedding album, but a great work! I just cannot give this a five, cause Notorious owns it from Duran. May be it was a mistake to pick out Violence of summer, the albums weakest song. But believe me, the others are very well built up and put together!Finally: This is the album that any rock-sympathizer must have.

I am long time Duran Duran fan I enjoyed this cd even though it was commerically sucessful, I feel it has some of the most intimate lyrics they have ever had.Liberty and Serious being among the better tracks and the sentinmentally eroitic My Antartica is a fabulous song. All in all a great cd for a true Duranie
