Free Music Notes for NotoriousFree Music Review: Sounds just like the concert did! Hit: 5 Stars
I haven't gone to many rock concerts, I always have other things to spend my time and money on, but I went to the tour that was supporting this album. The music is danceable and yet provokative in many ways -- nothing explicit but very suggestive. Even with only 3 of the original 5 members, this is one of Duran Duran's best collections. It shows a good deal of maturity after the first split.
Free Music Review: Don't Call this the Comeback Album.....? Hit: 5 Stars
Yes, Duran didn't want us to consider this their comeback album, but it was a turning point for them. I've been a Duran fan since 1984 and this album is still the one I reach for the most. Notorious, American Science, Skin Trade...kicking songs that still got it even though they were released 14 years ago. This is definately a MUST for all Duran Duran fans.
Free Music Review: The band changes its tune.. Hit: 5 Stars
...and leaves the teeny-boppers behind. Simon's at the top of his game with most of the songs here; excellent lyrics, seamless production---Nile Rogers is such a god. "Skin Trade" is one of the best songs the group has ever made, and sadly, marks the beginning of their downfall from the American charts. Beautiful package design too.
Free Music Review: DD's Best Album to date Hit: 5 Stars
I have always liked Duran Duran, and Notorious is definitely a MUST HAVE for all the fans. With the departure of Andy & Roger Taylor, this album definite sounds different from their previous albums. Listen to A MATTER OF FEELING, it gives me a chill. With horns added into their songs - its a definite MUST HAVE!!!
Free Music Review: Duran Duran funks with Nile Rogers Hit: 5 Stars
Skin Trade, American Science, and Winter marches on are some of Duran's best work ever in my opinion. This record introduces Warren which was needed in the guitar department. My only complaints are the gated reverb on the kit and Meet El Presidente. There was no need for either.
