Free Music Notes for Red Carpet Massacre (Snys)Free Music Review: Still loving Duran Duran! Hit: 5 Stars
Duran Duran still has it going on after all these years. My friends who haven't heard them in years, were surprised at how brillant & progressive Duran Duran continues to be. Sensual ballads are very much a strong point on this CD, along with new alternative sounding music with a hip hop influence on a couple of songs. Even my nephew who is into rap, hip hop & heavy metal really gets into the Red Carpet Massacre tune. When we went to the concert last week at the Nokia Center, the crowd went wild & crazy as they played their new songs, & of course the classic older songs.
They are still hot!
Free Music Review: Duran Duran still making great music Hit: 5 Stars
I love this CD. It's got a bit of everything. The title song ROCKS, She's Too Much is a really sentimental, beautiful song, Tempted is bound to be a favorite in dance clubs. The first single, Falling Down is by far not my favorite on the album, so if that's the only song you know right now and are not too crazy about it, buy this CD because you will not be disappointed! Hopefully the next singles will be Skin Divers and Nite Runner - which are contemporary songs but with the DD charm. I can't stop listening to it!! ***** - Five Stars!!
Free Music Review: RCM sizzles Hit: 5 Stars
One of the definite high points of Duran Duran's long and varied career. The sparse, snappy funk-pop arrangements and Simon Le Bon's unmistakeable vocals grab hold from the first track and simply don't let go till the end--there is not one track I would consider skipping over. In spite of what many fans from back in the day might expect from them, KUDOS to Duran Duran for wanting to be more than a nostalgia act, and sounding every bit as youthful and energetic as they did when they were barely out of their teens.
Free Music Review: Excellent! They're back and they're fresh! Hit: 5 Stars
Quite simply put, this album is one of the best of the recent comebacks by '80's musicians. As a long-time Duran Duran fan, I'm thrilled. This album retains enough of the classic DD sound, but brings new beats and elements in. Don't listen to reviews that trash this excellent work. Order it now. You'll dance and sing for days! Duran Duran like Prince, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, and many other '80's superstarts are proving that when they engage with younger talent, they get even better with age.
Free Music Review: It should get more than 5 stars! Hit: 5 Stars
An I thought Astronaut was a great album... I can not stop listening to this album, I hope it does not wear out my Ipod and CD player. The boys are back in a big way with this masterpiece. They only way it could be better is to see them in concert in Southern California! If you are a DD fan you will love this album! The lyrics and rhythms are hypnotic...Listening to this album is like a journey back in time and with futuristic flavor. Thanks to [...] as I pre-ordered my CD and won a signed copy!
