Free Music Review: For all of you complainers of the fact it's not the version

For all of you complainers of the fact it's not the version you had back in the 80's I know of a website that will straiten you up. There were 5 versions of the ablum made, and many of the songs have even 13 versions of the songs, only 1 song from the album is the same no matter which version you have or had for it is the only song that has 1 version that song is Last Chance On The Stairway. (...)By the way stop your bitching about the album I have the US 1st version I LP, I have The US 3rd version on cd..with bonus tracks, the remasterd cd, plus I only the 81>85 box set, Night Versions, and Strange Behaviour, plus Decade, and Greatest, plus Decade on VHS and Greatest on DVD..so I have many versions of the songs, not all...I consider all versions to be a goal for me to have...so..read about the different versions before you complain!
Free Music Review: 1 of their best albums / Essential new wave

Duran Duran is the epitome of synthpop/new wave 80's. One of the most influential bands of the that decade. This is 1 of their best albums by far. We all know they have had numerous hit songs "Planet Earth" being 1 of my faves too many to mention but this CD you will not skip a track. The production is amazing it was ahead of it's time with synths and drumbeats. Every song is catchy and you can sing every track on this album. The breakout dance singles "Hungry like the wolf" & "Rio" are incredibly catchy but "Save a prayer" is my favorite on cd the lyrics bring you right there as if your going through the same thing he is. Simon Lebon has a good voice the soft ballad "Lonely in my nightmare" The album incorporates it all dance, ballads, & synthpop/punk. Essential cd to collection for any one who grew up in the new wave 80's decade.Free Music Review: Dont laugh, this kicks a little A**

Duran Duran...I might be the only person in the world who thinks this is a very powerful CD. If we forget for a minute that this a a glam-pop new wave band that was a quick flash in the pan, we might think Rio was put out by another band. Funny as it is, this makes my top 25 list as one of the best CD's of all time. Why?? Its really moving and powerful believe it or not, and the last 3 songs on the CD, really blow me away. Maybe its the vocal or the fact that the bass drum kicks you in your chest on "The chauffeur" , but this is a really moving muscial album. Forget Hungry like a wolf, which sucks and really doesnt fit into the album for some reason, but the rest of the CD is excellent. Listen to it a few times, and really crank it, cause the bass lines are fantasic, and maybe you will see what I mean...ENJOYFree Music Review: The Best Duran Duran Album

This is the best album Duran Duran recorded. I don't think they ever recorded anything very disappointing. I always enjoy when they release something new so I can hear the new sounds. This CD has been through many Remasters but it's still a great set of songs no matter what FORM they are in. "Hungry Like The Wolf", "Save A Prayer", "My Own Way", "The Chauffeur" and "New Religion" are amongst my favorites. I remember staying up late many a night to see all their controversial videos that they would show only late at night. Especially the videos for "Girls On Film", which appears on their debut album and "The Chauffeur". Capitol recoreds relased a different version in 1982 for LP and Cassette with side 1 featuring either extended intro's or small musical differences in the music I noticed hold back the rain was longer hungry like the wolf had a longer intro my own way was diffferent and a little longer in the middle I think. Almost all of side 1 was remixed but side2 I think stayed the same. The 9 track remastered cd time is 42:41 where as the tape runs to 47:16 (give or take a few seconds) Thats almost 5 MINUTES LONGER. I think capitol should re-release this one in its proper form. I am still giving this cd 5 stars despite the short length of the disc when compared to the tape. Before I go I saw these guys back in July at The Joint in Las Vegas they were fabulous.
