If you are new to the sounds of Dusty Springfield, just listen to the introduction of 'I only want to be with you'. This is typical of her musical range. Dusty has always had the power to inspire and this CD is an excellent example. When we lost her in 1999, many began a new resurgance in our favourite artists music. This can only prove that despite some tracks being over 40 years old, the tracks are as fresh as if they were recorded yesterday. Take a roller coaster ride in pop, from The Look of Love (surely one of the sexiest songs of all time, and used to devastating effect in both Casino Royale in the 60s and Pulp Fiction in the 90s - what does that tell ya?!) through Dusty's version of sophisticated soul (one of the very few non black people who can sing this kind of music both credibly and creditably!) and on to those big Italian ballady things. Dusty Springfield was an intelligent focused performer. These songs are great and tell the story of her era.My favorites are her ballads. "Goin Back" is a haunted masterpiece of a Byrds song."The Look of Love " is another pop gem. Bacharach should be proud of that cover!She is the best girl singer of all time in my book. Her inflections and artistry make pop something special. I miss her great voice, but her legend lives on!Free Music Review: Angels will now have that grande dame that why love fly

I start to know dusty's songs when I was 14 that 30yrs ago and wow what a talent I cried,feel good, in love when I listen to her songs. She was a great. Unfortunately I am not Bacharach to find the words and compose about the beauty of her and that extradinary talent. Thank you Dusty and a big French hug I will miss you. PS: Your rating should have 10 stars for this lady but heavan is full of it.
