Great album! Gets better each time and that has been my experience with Dwight. When I first heard him I was not initially taken, but I walked around humming the tunes and had to find out whose music I was listening to (that was back in Guit's and Caddies days). His musical range within even one genre is vast.
Now for my complaint. Music DVDs are scant but excellent. If only there was the possibility to get some of those CMT clips on DVD!

If you're a Dwight Yoakam fan or a wannabee Buckaroo, you'll enjoy this CD. Dwight truly does justice to these classics from Buck Owens. You can almost taste the Bakersfield dust in your throat as Dwight stays true to the original feel and intent of Buck's songs. If you're enough of a fan to know that there was a lot more to Buck Owens than "Hee Haw" then you're sure to appreciate this excellent tribute to him.Free Music Review: Love this!

If you like Buck Owens and if you like Dwight Yoakam, then this is the CD for you. Dwight sings a lot of the great Buck Owens hits, but he puts the Dwight Yoakam twist on them. I was very pleasantly surprised the first time I listened to it.

This is not so much a review of the album, but a musing: I'm wondering if anyone else out there sees a strong resemblance, physically, of Dwight to Buck. Ever since I saw Dwight the very first time, I said he looks like Buck Owens, and sounds a little bit like him. I think he sounds a lot like him on some of these songs and I'm glad that he included some of Don's inflections. I will always miss them both.
