I've been enjoying the quality and wonderful songs on both discs. It seems old fashioned to buy CDs anymore. I've noticed that since most users don't rip mp3s at the highest quality (to save on disk space) music quality suffers, especially in my car.
If you like the Eagles, you will enjoy this collection of songs.

The Eagles were probably the band most responsible for rock's eventual descent into soullessness and commercialization. After a decade of amazing innovation, the Eagles were a step backwards. They tried NOTHING new, instead putting out one whiny, self-important country-folk song after another. It disturbs me that songs like Take It Easy; Peaceful Easy Feeling; Best of My Love; One of These Nights; Lyin' Eyes; Take it to the Limit; Hotel California and Heartache Tonight (all available here) dominated the airwaves when they were essentially carbon copies of each other. It was easy listening, perhaps too easy - if there was ever a band with ZERO creativity or talent, it was the Eagles. What leaves me in awe is that, while the Eagles are a household name, groups such as the Velvet Underground have yet to break through to the mainstream audience they deserve. If you buy this album, you are admitting that the only good type of music is pure product. My advice? Don't. And to compare this group to the Beatles, as one reviewer has, should be a crime. John Lennon had more talent in his hangnail than any Eagle could ever dream of.Free Music Review: The very best and beyond!

The Eagles' first two compilations,GREATEST HITS VOLUME 1 and VOLUME 2,can afford to be out of print now because this ultimate anthology surpasses them. Fans of country and classic rock do love the Eagles. The band had at least one Top 5 hit on the pop/rock charts every year between 1972 and 1979. The band was in and out of the soft rock mode with hits like NEW KID IN TOWN,THE LONG RUN,TAKE IT EASY,PEACEFUL EASY FEELING,OL' 55,I CAN'T TELL YOU WHY,DESPERADO,TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT,LOVE WILL KEEP US ALIVE and this album's original track HOLE IN THE WORLD. To date,the band's best-sellers were 1976's HOTEL CALIFORNIA and 1979's THE LONG RUN. Great tunes from HC include the title track,NKIT,the hard-driving LIFE IN THE FAST LANE and VICTIM OF LOVE and the easy listening WASTED TIME. Great tunes from TLR are the title track,ICTYW,HEARTACHE TONIGHT,THE SAD CAFE,IN THE CITY and THESE SHOES. The other songs are awesome. GET OVER IT and LWKUA are derived from the band's 1994 reunion concert album HELL FREEZES OVER,released on the Geffen label(drummer-vocalist Don Henley recorded solo on the label). HITW is the band's ode to the terrorist attack tragedies of September 11,2001. The band broke up in the early 80's and Henley recorded his first solo album I CAN'T STAND STILL on the band's label Asylum in or around 1982(he signed with Geffen afterward). Lead guitarist-vocalist Glenn Frey had a successful post-Eagles solo career that began in or around '82 as well. Other members,original and subsequent,such as Joe Walsh,Don Felder,Randy Meisner and J.D. Souther have all recorded solo as well.Free Music Review: egales greatest hits

This is the best collection of Eagles hits. Every thing you could want is contained in this double disk set. Solid throug and through. Can't go wrong with this one. Must have.
