Free Music Review: All the Eagles classic songs in one set. Peaceful, easy listening!

Eagles is one of my all time favorite bands, and I love to play their songs especially when driving. There is just something about "Peaceful, easy feeling" and "Tequila Sunrise" which lends itself to driving down long distances gazing into the horizon. This set lives up to its "Very Best of" title. It has all the Eagles gems in one solid collection.
Although I already owned almost all the songs and had them on my MP3 player, it was good to get the 4-5 songs I did not have in one collection for easy playing. I still use CDs in my car as hooking up the MP3 player to car speakers through FM produces too much static.
The good news was that this set was only $3.99 in the gold box deal AND came with a little booklet with some nice art which goes into the history behind each of the songs in the 2 CD set.

This is the best and most comprehensive greatest hits album available for the Eagles. It includes all of their big hits like "Take It Easy", "Best of My Love", "Lyin' Eyes", "One of These Nights", "Hotel California", "Heartache Tonight", and the more recent "Love Will Keep Us Alive". It also includes several classic album cuts that received airplay including "Desperado", "On the Border", "Victim of Love", and "In the City". It covers everything from their 1970's heyday right on through their 1990's reunion. To get a more comprehensive collection, you would have to buy a box set.
The only complaint I have about this set is that they left off one of their minor hits, "Outlaw Man" from 1973's "Desperado" album. But that is a relatively minor omission. This is still a great set!

I am very happy with the product i purchased. the seller source mars i do not particularly care for . The service was very poor ,the delivery time was extremely longer than advertised when i ordered. They in fact showed the item in stock ready to ship,after a long delay & numerous inquiries i was informed that the item showed in inventory actually was not & they were having trouble getting the cd from their suppliers. I informed them that i wanted to cancel my order , to which i got no response whatsoever.finally the item did show up ,but long after the original ship date that was given at the time of order, doubt that i will choose mars for any more purchases. Eagles has issued so many greatest hits before. If you don't have one yet, this is the one to buy. For those who don't know, their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best selling record of all time in the US! Sold more than Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Pink Floyd's "The Wall" or Led Zep's "IV". But the previous Greatest Hits does not have Hotel California, it does not have New Kid in Town, nor Heartache Tonight, nor Get Over It, nor Please Come Home For Christmas...and many more classics. This is the most complete collection so far. The band is still touring and still making records. Their latest one, "Long Road Out of Eden", though a very solid record, the only one that is clearly a greatest hits material is "How Long".

If you know some of the Eagles songs, this is a great record to add to your collection, especially if you do not have many of their records.
Every hit, and more, can be found on this record. If you do not have an Eagles record in your collection, but know any of their songs (and you probably do, Hotel California, Witchy Woman, Life In the Fast Line and others are ones for sure), then this the perfect record to pick up.
I had lost my copy of one their earlier Greatest Hits and was very happy I could replace it with this one.
