Free Music Notes for Hell Freezes OverFree Music Review: Incredible, just incredible Hit: 5 Stars
All I can say is My God! I cannot stop playing this CD. All of the live tracks are superior to the original, especially their standout, Hotel California. This one as has it all. My favorite Eagles songs, Hotel California, The Last Resort, Life in the Fast Lane, Take It Easy, and the new Get Over It, which is easily the best song put out by any group in the 90's, although that doesn't say much. Henley really shines here the most. His voice is stronger than ever. It's a damn shame that the greatest reunion in Rock and Roll history didn't last. They could have given us some new standards in a musically pathetic decade.
Free Music Review: Great reunion of the world's Greatest Band. Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this cd a good while ago but just got around to really listening to it. (I also just bought the video.. ;) ) And I was VERY pleased. After more than a decade and countless interviews denying there would EVER be a reunion, This was a great and long awaited treasure. There are acoustic versions of some of their greatest hits as well as original versions, and even new songs! The guys perfromed great, showing they haven't let time get them down. So buy this cd and own a piece of Eagle history! "For the record, we never broke up we just took a fourteen year vacation." -Glenn Frey
Free Music Review: Amazing! Best Live CD ever! Hit: 5 Stars
Well, this is an awesome CD whether or not your an Eagles fan or not. If you are, there's no doubt you have to get it. But even if you're not wild about the Eagles and like '70s soft rock, I would give this a try. Almost all of the songs are better than the originals. My favourite is "Learn To Be Still". I also love "The Last Resort", "In The City", "New York Minute", and "The Heart of the Matter", the last one unfortunately didn't get released on the cd. I suggest getting the video as well, it was incredible to watch. These guys just rule :)
Free Music Review: Grate mate Hit: 5 Stars
Some Live albums tend to be difficult to listen to as the recording can be poor or there is too much background noise. This is definitely the case for "Hell Freezes Over". One of the greatest live albums I've never heard, it's a definite must of Eagles fans. A true testament that the band can withstand the test of time, I've never heard the songs sound so beautiful as they do on this album. With the addition of newly recorded songs, it's hard to go with this album in your collection. The only reason I didn't play it is because it's missing some of my more favorite Eagles songs.
Free Music Review: Impressive Reunion Album Hit: 5 Stars
I was not an Eagles fan before this album, therefore, I was not fortunate enough to see them on this tour. With this album, though, you don't need to. Many of their classic hits are on this disc, only in better fashion. Despite accusations regarding their reunion, this CD is a great introduction to the Eagles and their music. Standout tracks include: "Wasted Time", "Pretty Maids All in a Row"; "The Last Resort", and "Desperado". The arrangement and sound on this album will not disappoint, as it will turn anyone into an Eagles fan.
