Free Music Notes for Eddie & The Cruisers - SoundtrackFree Music Review: It's About the Music Hit: 5 Stars
The album and movie complement each other completely. From the Bruce Springsteen/Jim Morrison character of Michael Pare's Eddie Wilson to the sequel which was possible from the strong album sales, this series represents what music should be all about; the passion. Buy the soundtracks, buy the movies then kick back and remember what good music is really all about..the music itself. One curiosity from the movie. Michael "Tunes" Antunes from the Beaver Brown Band who plays saxophone player Wendell Newton doesn't have a speaking line in the whole movie. See for yourself and have a good time doing it.
Free Music Review: The Spirit of Eddie Lives On Hit: 5 Stars
My review is based on the vinyl recording which has Wild Summer Nights and Tender Years. The music is alive with spirit and emotion. Its really a shame John Cafferty and Beaver Brown only received modest success for the music. The musical arrangements and the vocals are always are very much apprecaited as they can allow one to reflect upon those special tender years of high school and college which can shape ones social adaptation to the world we live in. This record succedes admirably on all these accounts.
Free Music Review: Good Ol' Rock'N Roll's Alive Hit: 5 Stars
John Caffety and the Beaver Brown Band has only two hit albums this one and Tough All Over but they were one of the few great American rockers with classical blues rock flavor such as Bruce Springsteen and John Mellemcamp. This new version does not include Tender Years which I like most but good old rock tracks are still alive. Their cover classical tunes such as Runaround Sue and Those Oldies But Goodies will steal your heart. I look forward to their reunion and many rock fans, I am sure, feel the same way.
Free Music Review: This is Rock n' Roll Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. I grew up in Jersey, and spent summers during the '60's down the shore. The food on the boardwalk, great bands every night, playing near the pier. Of course, there were also tan, beautiful girls everwhere. There was no better place for a teenager to spend the summer. My point in this is that the movie, and the music, totally captured the magic of a Jersey summer. "Wild Summer Nights," yes they were. For some smokin' rock n' roll, give this CD a listen.
Free Music Review: "TENDER YEARS" AND "WILD SUMMER NIGHTS" ARE BACK! Hit: 5 Stars
I feel that it is my duty to inform all fans of "Eddie and the Cruisers" that Volcano Entertainment has just reissued the CD, complete with "Tender Years" and "Wild Summer Nights" in all their glory! This CD puts the previous Scotti Bros. release (which left these two great songs off) to shame. Buy this today! Thanks to everyone involved with restoring this album to classic status and long live Eddie and the Cruisers!
