I can basically echo what everyone else is saying about this album. The songs are too short, and the vibe and energy of the album is amazing. I am looking forward to seeing the movie, if this is the music inspired by the film.
What that said, I have trouble giving this album 4 stars. The album is 30 minutes in length, and the only reason it's 30 mins, is because 2 songs, "Hard Sun" and "Guaranteed", equal 14 minutes. The rest of the 9 songs are 16 minutes in length. That's an average of about 1 mins, 45 seconds per song.
"No Ceiling" is without question the best song on the album. It's in a class by itself. It's one of the most moving songs I've heard in quite some time.
This album is very good, but very abbreviated. There are a few stinkers on here, as well as a song that's just an instrumental.
All in all, a very positive listening experience.
