Free Music Notes for Together - LiveFree Music Review: One of Greatest Live Performances Hit: 5 StarsThis is one the greatest Live performances of the seventies. The energy
created by Johnny and Edgar is a roller coaster ride you will not forget.
Their version of You'll Lose That Lovin' Feelin' is fantastic. (Copied by H & O ???). Don Covay's Mercy, Mercy is one of the best versions
ever recorded. Get this CD! You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: not a long disc by today's standards, but a great one Hit: 4 StarsA couple of people have criticized this disc for being short, but when it came out on vinyl, it was 'standard length'. It's amazing how we've become used to 50-60-70 minute discs as the only acceptable length.
I assume this hasn't been lengthened because - there's no other material available!
This is an awesome live disc. The bands (Johnny's and Edgar's all playing together) sound great, and Johnny and Edgar are both in fine form, Johnny bringing home the blues and Edgar with his more rock-oriented style. Some great guitar and sax playing by the brothers, as well.
The 'Rock and Roll Medley' alone is worth the price of the disc. I used to play this at parties 'back in the day' and it always filled the floor with dancers...today is no exception. I recently played it at a karaoke show as a dance filler and the floor was filled with 20-somethings dancing away, and a LOT of people asking me afterwards 'who were those guys?' and 'where can I get that album?'.
Free Music Review: A rock and roll lesson Hit: 3 StarsThis is qualit rock and roll and if you were to give an example of great live rock and roll to someone who has never never heard rock roll, this is it. The rock and roll medely is an on fire 6 minutes you won't soon forget. The only reason I give it 3 stars is that it clocks in short.
On a reissue you'd hope for some bonus cuts. Especail hear, if you dig live Geils etc this in the same vein, it just ends to soon.
Free Music Review: Too Little Music ! Hit: 3 StarsI figure anything by the Winter brothers is good but jeez, they work out on a few oldies, the CD is just under 38 minutes, and costs over $20 with tax. Way too little music for the price. This would be a good budget CD. Hopefully some stateside company will pick it up and lower the price.
Free Music Review: Superb Rock-Flavored Blues by the Winter Brothers Hit: 5 StarsThis review is for the vinyl LP, so the song selection may be slightly different (modern CD's often add a song or two). However, this is a brilliant, highly enjoyable blues/rock album recorded live with both Johnny and Edgar Winter. The tracks are mostly old blues/rock standards and with the Winters and their talented band at the helm, the tunes sizzle like bacon. If you like blues/rock, you will love this energetic live album.
Five stars.
