If you are a fan of the movie you'll enjoy this cd. I wish they would have put in another cassette into the recorder and recorded more because I just could not get enough of these gals. I wish they would have recorded more with BIG EDIE also but she was not feeling well but what they did record was nice of BIG EDIE in her final months of life. You do learn new things in this cd but I don't understand why little Edie whispered. She did not want her mom to hear? She does state that her mom was mad at her. Even though she does whisper a few times it's nothing that important so it does not take away from this rare recording which we should be happy they shared with the public. I can't understand why a few people leave negative comments about this cd. Don't believe it at all because if you are a fan it's another piece to the puzzle. I wish there were a few more pics but it's worth the price. Thank you for releasing this cd.Free Music Review: A WONDERFUL LITTLE VISIT

The only reason i didn't give this 5 stars is because, let's face it, it can't be as special as the films. However, I will take any time listening to the Beales that I can get and this is a fun little romp. Edie is whispering through half of it but even that is charming and funny. As usual, there are some zingers of her wit and unique vocabulary. YOU HAVE TO BE A HARDCORE FAN TO APPRECIATE IT but it is a treat.Free Music Review: An interesting addition to any Grey Gardens colection

I enjoyed the CD and it did give more insight to Little Edie and her world. Although the whispering did make it a little difficult to listen to I was able to understand her - and I listened to most of it while working out on a treadmill!Free Music Review: Should have included linear notes.

It's nice to hear Edie's voice again though it's a bit of work to enjoy this poorly recorded interview...All the same, die hard fans will enjoy it, if patient. I wish there was a printed version of the interview!Free Music Review: Spare Me!

I, being a big fan of the Beales, couldn't wait to get my hands on this. What a disappointment! I guess, now that "Grey Gardens" is a big hit on Broadway, anyone with any little scraps of information in their closet will be packaging them up for profit. The tidbits of real information that Little Edie imparts on her interviewer are utterably indiscernable as she whispers them into Walter Newkirks ear. Alas, if only we could hear what Little Edie has to say as well. I read a previous review that stated the audio was superb and cannot agree with that. I would estimate that only 25% of what Little Edie has to say in this hour long interview is audible. One of the tidbits of information that was audible, albeit 3 minutes worth, concerned Jerry Torres. While this bit of information was interesting, I don't think that it was worth the $15. The interview only whetted my appetite for information and left me wanting more. What was she saying? Why can't I hear her when I turn the volume up? Why is she whispering? Is she saying things that she doesn't want her mother who is upstairs to overhear? I am not so certain I would have purchased it if I had known what I was getting. If you're a real Edie fan like myself, and purchase this cd, be prepared to feel a little cheated. Better yet, if you can, borrow it!
