Free Music Review: Unique singing voice is memorable

I love the unique singing voice found in Editors. It's almost haunting sometimes. They lyrics are great and the music has true feeling to it, I can tell these people put a lot of time into their efforts.
This CD is great for in the car, at home while working, chilling, or whatever. The songs are all different from one another, but tie into the overall band itself well. None are really boring or stale. It really is a worth-while CD.

They do what they do well, but its been done, and re-done before. And perhaps it is because of this that I was not moved at all by this album. Their pedestrian synth noises are similar to those as that band that never wanted them in the first place, and the singer's voice sounds just as affected as the other band to which everyone is drawing comparisons. Don't get me wrong, they do what they do well, but if you know what bands I'm talking about, then don't waste your time here. Otherwise, this might be new to you, and you might enjoy it. I gave this album 2.5 stars because I feel that degree of origionality is a pertinent factor in attempting an objective measure of quality of music. If you don't feel the same way, then take this as a 4/5.Free Music Review: An acquired taste

Life is an acquired taste, so if you listen to anything long enough, you'll probably like it. This album has great music, but it's not backed up with very good lyrics, and the singers voice is unique, but reminds me of a combination of Morrissey and David Gahan of Depeche Mode. Munich is the best song.
