Free Music Notes for Eighteen Visions

Free Music Review: pulverizing hard rock
Hit: 5 Stars

Eighteen Visions sounds like a blend of hard rock, progressive, and metalcore. most of the metalcore bands I have listened to have a screaming vocalist, which makes the vocalist of Eighteen Visions sound like he's whispering. not only is this band signed to Epic, but also Trustkill too. if you like metalcore bands (e.g. Killswitch Engage, etc),pick this up. also, I honestly don't know why there is a Parental Advisory sticker on this album, because they only cuss a few times in one or two songs. it's not like they are advocating violence or substance abuse.

Free Music Review: A Rockin' Good Time!
Hit: 5 Stars

If you know the song "Victim", then you already know what much of the album sounds like, and if you like the way "Victim" sounds, then you should enjoy this album tremendously. This entire CD is all about having a hard-rocking good time. It has huge amounts of energy in every portion of the music. From James Hart's classy-yet-angsty vocals (which work perfectly with the flow of every song); to the buzzing guitar chords relentlessly hammered in tracks like "Your Nightmare", "Black and Bruised", and, of course, "Victim"; to the pounding, pulsating drums in the leadoff track "Our Darkest Days". What makes this album work is not only the focus on each elemental piece of the music, but also the clever, poetic lyrics that Hart works perfectly into every song and makes them effective with his powerful, stylish voice. Some of my favorite lyric tidbits are: "I lost the feeling in my heart tonight/When I was holding you I think I died"-"Rows and rows of white lies keep tryin/Is that any way to live?"-"I see a face and he says with a smile/Welcome to hell cos this is where you'll die". Although I am not a longtime fan of Eighteen Visions, owning just this album, I can honestly say that I greatly enjoy this album every time I listen to it. It's pretty clear that this quintet likes rocking and they want you to have a good time rocking out too. What a great album. It's a shame they broke up recently, because they have a new fan and someone who would have eagerly awaited new material.

Free Music Review: Different, but better
Hit: 5 Stars

Don't be afraid of this simply because it sounds different. They have taken to a more refined hard rock sound, but the classic 18V is still there.
You WON'T regret this buy!!!

Free Music Review: Awesome CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Great Music, Great band. This is a must buy. Recommended to all hard rock lovers.

Free Music Review: Average
Hit: 3 Stars

I've never heard of these guys before, so I can't compare/contrast with their earlier stuff. If I hadn't of known otherwise, I would have thought that I was listening to Puddle of Mudd. It's not bad but it's not great, either. Pretty average stuff.
