I've always enjoyed this movie. It's a good story with great music. I look forward to a DVD version. The CD is a great, but with a couple of dissapointing features. There seems to have been an attempt to remix a couple of the scores. Most seem to have been faithfully copied from the movie, though with a somewhat shortened lead-in. My big disappointment was "The Duel". Also a problem on the LP, this, one of the best pieces in the movie, has an.... interruption... right at the height of it. Just as it's tempo is at it's best, there is a break in the music where a rather dull and completely unrelated segment has been inserted... one NOT in the movie. Also, a remix seems to have been done, and the duel itself is rather overwhelmed by the supportive music. I'm assuming that this latter was unintentional. The rest of the CD it very enjoyable.... STILL worth purchasing.Free Music Review: The soundtrack is integral to the movie - and is 80s fantastic!

This is great if you like Jeff Lynne. He does a couple songs on the soundtrack that I think encapsulate the soundtrack as a whole. Culture Club does a couple songs too. I dunno - maybe the best part is it reminds me of the movie, and it's a quirky, dated pleasure. Nostalgia.
I recommend this to ELO fans, Culture Club fans, or fans of this film.

I remember the movie Electric Dreams from my childhood, and the music is even more memorable. Together in Electric Dreams is a classic eighties pop tune and Love is Love is a beautiful and romantic song. I'd highly recommend this CD for anyone who appreciates great music from a great decade.
