Free Music Notes for Elf: Music From The Major Motion PictureFree Music Review: Absolutely Fantastic! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD really swings and rings with merriness, fun, and fantastic renditions of some great Christmas classics. From the wonderfully jazzy "Pennies From Heaven" to Ella Fitzgerald's smooth "Sleigh Ride," the ultimately merry "Santa Claus' Party," the wonderfully sexy duet, "Baby, It's Cold Outside," the hysterically hyper version of "The Nutcracker Suite," and the rockin' "Nothing from Nothing," this CD will uplift and coax you into the merriness of the season. An Absolute Treat!
Free Music Review: What a Voice! Hit: 5 Stars
Who knew about the best kept secret in Hollywood? Zooey Deschanel has an amazing voice and it's worth getting just for the duet of Baby, It's Cold Outside. Like a young Judy Garland/Ella. Here is to hearing more from this untapped talent. Why they just didn't use her and Will Ferrell's duet from the movie I don't know. By the way the movie is FANTASTIC!!!! I'm going to see it again. An instant Christmas Classic.
Free Music Review: A review of the CD, not Zooey Hit: 5 Stars
This seems to be pretty much just reviews of Zooey's voice, I'll put down my two cents on the actual CD...not just one track. If you're into jazz/swing style music, and you're looking for a good Christmas album, this is it. Reall good strong songs all the way through. They aren't all christmas songs, but it's still one darn good CD. I'd suggest it to anyone who wnats a little swing in their Christmas step.
Free Music Review: Yea! Leon Redbone is back! Hit: 5 Stars
Many years ago a friend gave me what he called "The best christmas CD ever" It was Leon Redbone's "Christmas Island". It WAS the best Christmas CD. Until now. Zooey and Leons's version of "Baby it's cold outside" on the "Elf" sound track is breathtaking. Toss in a few other Christmas and non-Christmas classics and you have, "Elf" The NEW best Christmas CD ever.
Free Music Review: Fresh and fabulous! Hit: 5 Stars
Zooey Deschanel & Leon Redbone give us the best new holiday tune in a very long time. Perfectly paired on "Baby it's Cold Outside". An absolute gem of a rendition. The rest of the CD is certainly a worthwhile collection...Eartha Kitt, Lena Horne, Ella Fitgerald and especially Louis Prima. Went to see the movie and immediately bought the soundtrack. Not at all disappointed!
