Free Music Review: This is why he's the King
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great collection of Elvis live tracks. I'm a recent fan of the King's and must say that this is an awesome performance that just keeps you interested the whole way through. I love the fact that he just does his biggest hits, which could have worked so easily. Included on "Aloha" are many great covers including the Beatles "Something", Peggy Lee's "Fever" and other greats. His hits like "Long Tall Sally/Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On", "Suspicious Minds" and "Hound Dog" are short but great. The at time newer songs "See See Rider" and "Burning Love" are my favorites on the disc.

I must admit this is my first Elvis album, and I know that there are many more to buy, but I know that the fans will love the impression that Elvis' voice and just personality create on this recording. It's really something that will never be caught again. Elvis is indeed the King of Rock and Roll.

Free Music Review: Elvis at his zenith
Hit: 5 Stars

The crowning moment for the king of rock n roll came here. This concert represents Elvis' towering moment. His best 70s album, his greatest concert album, his best tv special, his greatest live performance. That does not mean it was down hill from here. There were great achievements that still lied ahead for him...but this moment captures Elvis at his absolute best. His voice was in full throttle on Steamroller Blues,You Gave Me A Mountain,My Way,I'll Remember You,It's Over and An American Trilogy. He knew exactly what he wanted from a song and was in full command of his talent. His ability to grab both a song and the listener are on full display during his rendentions of Welcome to my World and Something.See See Ryder,Burning Love and Suspicious Minds are classics and Elvis' versions of each during this concert might be their finest. This truly was the moment he had waited for.And he came thru...like he always did.

Free Music Review: Aloha From Heaven
Hit: 5 Stars

As far as I am concerned this is THE event in music history. Never before or since has an entertainer captured the world as Elvis did in this concert. Elvis wanted to tour the world and see his fans all over and as it happens this was Colonel Parker's answer to Elvis' desire. Even though it was second rate to what Elvis wanted it turned out first class for the fans. It was a multi media event of historic proportion. Elvis Presley was the first and only entertainer to have enough draw to be televised live via satellite. There have been other events via satellite but it has always been multi-celebrity. Elvis was in top form physically and vocally. Surrounded by a full orchestra, a five piece band, a soprano singer and two successful backup groups Elvis once again proved he was King of the music world and better than anyone before or after him.

Free Music Review: At his peak
Hit: 5 Stars

It all came together for Elvis in January 1973 when he slimmed down and actually weighed less that he had back in 1956. Maturity had also brought an unmatchable stage presence and transformed the young, self-conscious rock'n'roller into the most charismatic performer that ever walked onto a stage. His voice had deepened and he had become a highly versatile singer, able to convincingly cover country, rock, blues, gospel, pop and ballads. Highlights of the Aloha concert include American Trilogy, where Elvis sends guaranteed shivers down the listener's spine and attains god-like status at the song's towering crescendo. I rate his take of I Can't Stop Loving You as the definitive version - it kicks hard and leaves Ray Charles' choir-swamped version way behind. An essential purchase, Aloha From Hawaii is a landmark performance in popular music history.

Free Music Review: A must have for new or old Elvis fans!
Hit: 5 Stars

At age 28 I finally discovered Elvis. I can't get enough of him now!

I normally don't buy "live" CDs but after reading the reviews here I was moved to buy this CD and I'm glad I did.

I listened to it in my car on the way to work and it was a real pick me up. I was probably driving along with a goofy grin on my face!

Anyway, Elvis' voice is at his best. His mature, rich tones and his vocal range are amazing. He covers songs from throughout his career and some covers that frankly, I think are better than the originals. I love how he teases the audience between songs and how he humbly thanks everyone after each number.

I only wish I could have seen him in concert myself. I'm definitely going to have to purchase the DVD of this concert.
