Consider this album if you like awesome, "all time" or "tour de force" type albums that you'll be playing forever, if you think Elvis was just a rock an roll singer, or if you just like toe tappin' music that makes you feel good. (Don't have to be religious or even like gospel music.) I did not realize the immense talent of Elvis Presley until I got this Grammy album. Listen on stereo headphone or speakers to get the counterpoint of Elvis and his bass guy (sorry, don't know his name.) OMG, If you like Elvis and gospel music, you will L-O-V-E this CD. If you love Elvis's music like I do, this CD is a "must have". I got this CD for my husband's birthday, because he was looking for the old gospel songs. I knew we both love Elvis' music, so I bought this CD.
"Ultimate",is an understatement. This is by far the BEST gospel CD, we own. We are spoiled. The other artists, singing the same songs,don't compare to Elvis' style. He pours his heart out as only Elvis can. I would have gladly paid double the price had I known how good it was ! Great CD, Great price, and great service as usual.

After seeing a documentary on Elvis about his love of the Lord and Gospel music. I searched Amazon and found this album. This truly is a heartfelt Elvis singing the classic Gospel and beautiful hymns. Stunning Album. It was so good I have just purchased another 2 as I have given mine away - I surprised a friend whom is going through challenges with health and she absolutely loves it and can't stop playing it. I highly recommend this album. Elvis really sings from the heart and you can hear it in every song. Fabulous Elvis album. PS. I was never an Elvis fan however, I am now with him singing Gospel.Free Music Review: love elvis

I purchased 2 of these CD's-1 for my husband and 1 for my brother-in-law. I had never heard of some of the gospel songs on these CD's, but I knew if Elvis had recorded them, that they had to be great, and they are. The CD's brought back memories to both guys of when my mother-in-law would sit in the evenings and play these old songs on cassette tapes. Elvis had such a wonderfully powerful singing voice!
