Emery has proven they are a force to be reckoned with. Wether by furious screams or passionate vocals, they have succeeded in conveying a sense of total "uniqueness." The lyrics are dark, to be sure. As a Christian, you'll probably read through a few and go, "What on earth? That's just too intense." I admit, that was my reaction at first... But in the end this album doesn't try to do that much. If you'll notice, most of the songs are very deep and powerful, but not because they DO something... because they don't. "Emery's" message here is "I'm only a man" and so is everyone else in the world. The sooner we realize that we were destined to fail, the sooner we can take steps towards living for Christ... and that is Emery's ultimate message.
