Free Music Review: Great Mix of Rap
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of my my favorite Hip-Hop album ever. It has a great mix of excellent Mcs, and great production. It has a few songs that are EXTREMELY GOOD. Its rare to find an album with this many songs that good. However, it does have some weak songs, but they dont take it down too much to the point it isnt worth buying. This album is 5+ stars. One thing its missing is Dr Dre, if he was on it (instead of Macy Gray or Boomkat) it may have pushed it over the top as the best ever.

Songs:
1. Lose Yourself (Eminem) 4.5/5 Great Song, but overplayed
2. Love Me (Eminem-ObieTrice-50Cent) 4/5 Em, Obie & 50 on one track is good mix
3. 8 Mile (Eminem) 3/5 Good Song, but too long
4. Adrenaline Rush 5/5 BEST SONG, great beat by Dr Dre
5. Places to Go (50 Cent) 4/5
6. Rap Game (D-12) 5/5 Another GREAT song. Better than anything on Devils Night or D-12 World
7. 8 Mile & Running (Jay-Z & Freeway) 3/5
8. Spitshine (Xzibit) 5/5 Another one of my All-Time Favs
9. Time of My Life (Macy Gray) 1/5 SUX. This spot wouldve been perfect for a Dr Dre song, but NOOOO! they waste it on Macy
10. U Wanna Be Me (Nas) 5/5 Tight song. Nas rips it up.
11. Wanksta (50 Cent) 4/5 Catchy beat, good lyrics.
12. Wasting My Time (Boomkat) 1/5 Another weak point
13. RAKIM (Rakim) 2/5 Not too great
14. Thats My N***a fo Real (Young Zee) 3/5
15. Battle (Gangstarr) 3/5
16. Rabbit Run (Eminem) 5/5 No hook, just blazing hot Em rap tearin it up
DELUXE EDITION (Disc 2) ALSO INCLUDES:
1. Rap Name (Obie Trice) 5/5 Obie's First Single
2. Stimulate (Eminem) 3/5
3. Till I Collapse Freestyle (50 Cent) 5/5 {Green Lantern}
4. Gangsta (Joe Beast) 4/5
5. Weekend (Brooklyn) 1/5
6. California (Shuanta) 1/5

Free Music Review: The Unsinkable Eminem
Hit: 5 Stars

Eminem has proven once again that he is unsinkable. With a brilliant ensamble here he also has proven to be a suitable producer as well, boasting a label with talent like 50 Cent and Obie Trice, both of which have blown up now, but at the time of this release they were small potatoes. The album track list reads like a whos who of the best in the rap industry, everyone from Nas to Jay-Z to Xzibit, all of whom lay down decent tracks, but the shining star is none other than Slim Shady himself, with more than a few killer cuts like the blistering anthem 'Lose Yourself' which stands alone as Shady's most glorious moment. D-12, the Dirty Dozen who up until now have ceased to impress me actually hold there own on 'Rap Game' while 50 serves up a luke-warm track dissing none other than Ja-Rule on 'Wanksta' but he makes good for it with 'Places to Go' while Obie Trice stands out on 'Adrenaline Rush' and makes it obvious why he's been signed to Em's label. I do want to point out that while I don't know why Macy Gray was included on the roster, to answer a question from one reviewer, Boomkat is here because the lead singer Taryn Manning was in the film and as a favor to help boost her career Eminem gave her a track...that's why she's here, although she doesn't quite fit the bill. The best track here is the closing track 'Rabbit Run' where Eminem freestyles a track with no hook, just straight in you face 'look at me now' type lyrics that grab the listener and let them know what this album, what this movie and what Eminem, the man, is all about. Great album and great boost for the unsinkable Eminem!

Free Music Review: Great Soundtrack / 4.5 stars
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the better soundtracks I've heard (up there w/ Training Day, Gang Related & Cradle 2 The Grave). Most of the songs on here are quality and there is only a couple of weak R&B songs. Features alot of Shady/Aftermath artists with a track by D12, 5 by Eminem, 3 with Obie Trice, 4 with 50 Cent and a few other big names are on here too (Xzibit, Gangstarr, Rakim, Jay Z, Nas, Freeway). I would definately recommend this album for any rap fan as it has a lot of quality songs you can listen too(even has 3 out of 6 good songs on the bonus disc).

#1 - 9.5 (Eminem - talkin' about what music does to him)
#2 - 8.5 - (Eminem, 50 Cent, Obie Trice)
#3 - 10 (classic Eminem song)
#4 - 9 - (Obie Trice)
#5 - 9.5 (50 Cent)
#6 - 10 (classic by: D12 f/ 50 Cent on the hook)
#7 - 8 (Jay Z f/ Freeway)
#8 - 9.5 (Xzibit)
#9 - 2 (Macy Gray)
#10 - 5.5 (a not so good song by NAS)
#11 - 8.5 (old overplayed song by 50 Cent but I liked it before I heard it everyday)
#12 - 3 (bookmat)
#13 - 8 (Rakim)
#14 - 3 (Young Zee - this cat can't rap too good at all)
#15 - 8.5 (Gangstarr)
#16 - 10 (classic by Eminem)

BONUS DISC
#1 - 8 (Obie Trice)
#2 - 9 (Eminem)
#3 - 10 (50 Cent classic Freestyle over Eminem beat from "The Eminem Show")
#4 - 5 (Joe Beast)
#5 - 3
#6 - 2

Free Music Review: OH MY GOD!
Hit: 5 Stars

WOW! This is definitely one of the best cd's of 2002, not only does this cd include the greats like Gang Starr & Jay-Z, it has great songs by the whole shady records crew. I was really pleased to finally hear 5 (counting the D12 Song) eminem songs on one album where he didnt talk about the things he normally does, dont get me wrong i love eminem but he seems more like a real MC when he actually raps where as when he just pokes fun at people he just seems like a rapper. the highlight of this cd is definitely the songs "Run Rabbit Run" By Eminem, "Adrenaline Rush" by Obie Trice, "Rap Game" by D12, and "Spit Shine" by Xzibit. overall this cd is definitely worth buying. there were only 2 dissapointments on this cd, the song by Macy Gray and the song by Nas. first off i would like to say that if you like Macy Gray this may not be a dissapointment but i think that her voice is one of the worst in the industry. second, the Nas song just isnt as good as something you would expect off Stillmatic, I am..., Illmatic, or even (dare i say) Nastradamus. he spends way too much time dissin Jay-Z and the beat is just not as good as it could be. but other than that i totally reccomend this cd to any fan of eminem or just a rap fan, it is worth the money!

Free Music Review: You only get one shot ....
Hit: 5 Stars

Loved 8 mile and feel the same about the soundtrack. Features new songs from some of the best rappers out today (Nas and Rakim for example) and even allows Em to showcase the great Shady Records talent. The song are all relevant to the film in one way or another and they all grow on you. Although I was dissapointed to not be able to recognise hardly any songs from the film (as you'll find the songs like 'shook ones part 2' and 'feel my flow' on the cd entitled "more music from 8mile", but each song is great and adds to the message and emotion Eminem wanted to hand across in 8mile.

Surprising how no one seems to like Boomkats 'wasting my time' as although I hadn't heard of the artist and hearing the slow beat immediatly put me off. This is a classic example of 'dont read a book by its cover' as its without a doubt one of the best tracks on the album purely for the lyrics and one I think you should check out. Being a Shady Records fan I loved the songs produced and rapped by them (including 'love me' and '8 mile') and by ending with 'Rabitt run' ends it all off explosively and I think its a great companion to the film, and great even if you dont like the flim as you'll still find some great rap songs to listen to.
