Free Music Notes for 8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture

Free Music Review: Here Comes the Shady Family
Hit: 5 Stars

Here comes the Shady records crew! This soundtrack is not only the 8 Mile motion picture soundtrack, its also a preview of what's coming from Shady Records! Eminem contributes most of the hottest tracks, but up and coming stars of the hip hop game such as 50 Cent and Obie Trice drop some sick tracks on this CD that have nothing to do with the movie 8 Mile. Never the less, the CD still kicks ass! Thanks to Shady records for this one.
Best Songs:
-Lose Yourself- This track is incredible...5/5...one of the best hip hop songs I've ever heard and one of the biggest hits of Eminem's prestigious career.
-8 Mile- A great beat combined with frustrated lyrics that'll get you pumped. Great for the locker room.
-Wanksta- Sweet Jesus here comes 50 Cent. Need I say more?
-Love Me- Obie Trice, Eminem and 50 combine their lyrical skills for a deep and smooth hip hop song.
-R.A.K.I.M.- The master himself has returned! Rakim is back, and he's signing with Dr Dre's Aftermath label...he contributes this sick track celebrating his return.
Now some people were disappointed with this CD, but the true hip hop fans realize how good it is. If you haven't heard it yet, go buy it and you won't be disappointed.

Free Music Review: A classic rap soundtrack.
Hit: 5 Stars

8Mile the soundtrack begins with the Rocky like vibes of "Lose Yourself" which is one of the best written rap songs of all time hands down. And the album ends with the lyrically driven "Rabbit Run" which contains no hook. In between that is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. It seems that Eminem get's better with each album that he makes. What worries me is that his flow and talent is so excellent and near perfect that I am doubting if it's possible to get better. As for the soundtrack, Eminem has a few tracks on this album but shines so greatly that the other sub par songs are listenable. 50 Cent emeerges as a shining star on this album with cuts as "Wanksta" and "Places to go". Along with Obie Trices surprising lyrics and appearences by Jay-Z and Nas this soundtrack goes for gold and hits all the right flows.

Free Music Review: Year's Best Soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

We all know how good Eminem's flows are in the song "Lose Yourself" are. The #2 song on the album, "Luv Me", featuring Eminem, Obie Trice and 50 Cent has a nice, kind of almost love ballad, female chorus. The three of them sound great together. I feel that song #3, featuring Eminem in "8 Mile", definately has the making of another single. It may not be the next single off the album though. Song #11, 50 Cent's "Wankster", I think will be his breakout single and the album's second single. It has a fresh sound and his voice is melodic at times. Song #6 "Rap Game" features D-12 (including Eminem). This is a very good song, and contains one of my favorite Eminem's verses on the album. The other great songs on this album are by NAS, Macy Gray, and Young Zee. Zee's "My Nigga for Real" and Trice's "Adrenline Rush" bump nicely in the car.

Free Music Review: Eminem Continues to Spit Shine
Hit: 5 Stars

Eminem's three tracks on this album are by far the best- they serve as short summaries of the film, Rabbit's character, and the struggles he has with his family, his neighborhood, his obsession to succeed, and his writing. They are universal for anyone who is a writer and has suffered with writer's block, feeling like they aren't worth [profain word for poop]. Taryn Manning proves herself to have a strong vocal range, much more so than her Gap commercial allowed. (Her group BoomKat provides a song that is one of the few non-rap joints) However I highly recommend buying the Collector's Edition that comes with the extra 5 track CD sampler. On it, Eminem provides "Stimulate" a song all parents should hear because he talks candidly about being an entertainer and saying things to amuse rather than be their "parent, friend, guardian".
