Free Music Review: Open ur eyes Hit: 5 Stars
I want to redo this review because I have a little bit more to say. I agree with mark when he said Eminem was exhausted. To all of you that say eminem is done lyrically and washed up you obviously have not been listening to other people's cds that eminem has dropped verses on. 99.9% of his effort was put towards everyone's songs and albums.. 1% of his talent was directed towards Encore. Still he delievered a great cd. Track 2-7 are hot.. tracks 18, 20 are also hot.. the in between isnt that great but beat wise but lyrically he delivers just like usual. Eminem is far from washed up. Listen to the latest obie trice cd... track 4, 10, and the last one are all hot and guess who has the hottest flow on each track?? Eminem.. Listen to jadakiss' latest cd.. track 16.. once again he does... Lloyd banks' cd... the warrior remix.. eminem did it again... Wait until march when 50's cd drops.. Look for eminem to have a few more track-making flows. Eminem and ludacris are the only two out right now that I actually fast forward to the parts of when they are on someone's track. One more thing about Encore. He tried to branch out... Nobody likes the lose it song because they are closed minded.. He's trying to reach more than one group of people and with this cd he goes from adults all the way to teens. You guys seem to be just looking for a reason to jump on him and say he's done. Once again I agree with mark when he says that Jay Z made about 10 albums and not all of them were hot but I dont see you guys saying he's washed up. This guy is just getting started.. When eminem is finished he will have alot of cds under his belt.. this will be the only one that isnt up to eminem status because he only used 1% of himself in the cd... and I still think its great... Take these things into consideration.. then listen to the cd... you can't tell me its not worth buying
Free Music Review: Don't expect an encore of The Eminem Show Hit: 5 Stars
I can see how some Eminem fans might be disappointed with this album. Too many people were expecting another `The Eminem Show' or `Marshall Mathers LP'. But to their surprise, they got *gasp* a different album.
The same thing happens with almost every artist out there. Around the fourth album or so the artist changes their style, wanting to do something different, but they end up being called sell-outs, or people are disappointed in the new sound.
In my opinion, this could be Eminem's best album so far, or at least it matches up to the rest of his work. Except `Encore' works on a different level than his previous albums. Until now his albums have had a consistency through most of the disc, where if you like one track, you'll probably like the next. But this is not the case for `Encore'. Yes, there are tracks that fit in with the sound of `The Eminem Show', but there are some that people may find annoying, or disgusting.
Marshall shows his sense of humor much more on this album than he has done in the past. To the dismay of some, his sense of humor includes potty-humor. On more than a couple tracks you'll hear burping or farting noises, but if you can get past that you'll probably enjoy those songs.
I've decided to give this album five stars for a few reasons.
Reason #1: I can't give it 4 ½ stars.
Reason #2: I think a lot of the reviews on this site gave it an unjustified low rating, so I'll do what I can to balance it out.
Reason #3: Unlike most rap albums, this one has variety, and it shows Marshall's talent and personality.
If you're expecting a rerun of Eminem's past albums you might want to listen to `Encore' before you buy it, but otherwise I would say this is a great CD to add to your collection.

Free Music Review: Crazy CD. You just have to understand what he's saying. Hit: 5 Stars
When I first went to pick up this CD, all I said was 'if he talks about hating his mom, his ex wife, homosexuals, and everything else, i'm throwing it away'. This CD is complete opposite that. This is Em, mature and on top of his game. Though this cd does not compare to The Marshall Mathers LP (perhaps one of the best cd's ever created), it only sits a few notches shy of it.
Those of you hating on this CD, probably don't understand what's going on in this album. This alsum is personal. Listen to Yellowbrick Road, but don't unless you understand Em's beef with the Source. Don't listen to Like Toy Soldiers unless you understand the Shady/Afteramth/G Unit vs Murder Inc beef. Don't listen to Puke or Crazy in Love unless you've been deeply in love with someone. Don't listen to Azz Like That, unless you been dissed by a puppet dog on a tape before. Don't listen to Mockingbird unless you have a daughter and a neice at home who you are trying to protect from this lifestyle, but just can't. Bottom line, don't listen to this album unless you understand it. Don't diss it cause you can't really bounce to every song. If you just want a club banger and music you don't have to really listen to to understand, by the new Chingy album, it's hot. Other than that, don't hate on this CD. Em has matured as a lyricist. His rhymes are crazy in this album. Everything is just thrown together way to nicely. Everything just flows perfectly.
Lack of Production? This alubm is personal, of course Em and Dre are gonna do all the beats. Em's a perfectionist remember? He wants it done right. You don't need Trackmasters or Timbaland to make a classic cd. This CD from start to finish is Eminem. Listen to it, understand it, and love it. This album is crazy.
