Free Music Review: Best thing I've heard since Marshall Mathers

Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers were great. They kept an open spot in my wallet for any future cds Em came out with. Unfortunately, I have been so sadly disappointed in the works in between. Then there is this "Crack a Bottle" issue. I was sure this CD was going to blow. So sure I thought I'd just steal them over the internet to check out only. I downloaded them Tue night, plugged in the mp3 player wed morning, and ordered the cd as soon as I got home that night. This is the twisted sense of humor we all love to hear from Em, and its back to his original with this one. Relapse is appropriately titled, and I can now forgive Em for Crack a Bottle, just like we all had to with My Name Is and The Real Slim Shady. I'm so tired of listening to rap music about popping bottles, its nice to have an album get released that is actually worth buying.Free Music Review: Slim Shady is back!

After being incredibly disappointed by Encore, I've waited for the return of the old Eminem. The dark, twisted, shock rapper that we all knew and loved who thumbed his nose at parents and society. Well my friends he's back! Gone are the songs about his daughter, Bush, Michael Jackson and his beef with Benzino. This is dark, twisted stuff that isn't for the faint of heart much like his first two albums. Expect rape jokes, twisted fetishes, brutal violence, drugs, and relentless celebrity bashing on this CD. And oh yeah his lyrcism is much better too. It seems like Eminem shines the most when he tries to be the twisted shock rapper, but then again that's what made him famous ten years ago. If you got a strong stomach pick this CD up cuz it's probably on the way to being one of the year's best albums.Free Music Review: Another classic from Em.

this is fire. The rhyming and heat he brings is top notch. It's a shame that the bonus tracks (i totally recommened getting a hold of them via whatever method possible) aren't included in a deluxe edition in stores. Otherwise all the tracks are really really good. He even addresses the encore issue in one of those bonus tracks ;). Accent? Who gives a crap, he had a silly accent on the slim shady LP too because he had started rhyming like a friend of his (read his book!) so he just catches it and starts spitting it like that. If an "accent" bothers you so much to dislike this CD, then I don't think you're truely into rap or hip-hop. I've half way through the CD and i put it up there with the Em Show, which was my favorite of his. 5/5 by far. The anticipation was well worth it. The hype is for real.Free Music Review: 4.5 Stars! I, like any hip-hop fan, am a big Eminem fan since his early days. I won't lie like the fan boys and claim I was down since Infinite, but the minute I heard My Name Is I new I had to cop his CD. I was a faithful consumer until it came to Encore and Curtain Call. I didn't peep either. Didn't even listen to Encore. None of the songs I heard made me want to peep that CD. Some jokers on the amazon forum got me hyped for this CD, despite a horrible lead single, and I took a chance. I was REALLY surprised. The production by Dre here is doper than ever. Mainly because he has a lot of variety in his music. Eminem is in top lyrical form doing that darker sound I love from him. Some wack singles and an annoying accent keep this from being a true classic, but definitely a dope CD.Free Music Review: You need to listen to it around 20 times to think it's great

This album is genius. Previously, my favorite album was the Slim Shady LP. It still may be tied, but this album is amazing. In stay wide away, the rhymes he does just seem impossible to even immitate. I can understand people thinking the "voice" gets annoying, but his lyrics make up for it. I'm not really into the serial killer stuff, but the way he delivers is like no other. I don't really like we made you, crack a bottle, the singles. but w/e, the rest is great. Make sure to also pick up the screwed and chopped version. The only reason I don't think this is perfect is because of the singles and that it doesn't include "my darling" and "be careful what you wish for". But, the average rating is 4, so I'll give it five stars to average it out at 4.5 like it deserves.
