Free Music Review: (...) Anti-Pop: Hip Hop Classic

After thieving me out of my money with the debut cds from Obie Trice and 50 Cent, i decided to go out and buy The Eminem Show, which I consider one of the greatest rap albums ever released. Since I'm a lazy (...), i'll just go trqack-by-track:
1. Curtains Up - Not really a song. Just a weird intro thing. Kinda previews the album theme tho. (1/10)
2. White America - An underground hit track that really previews the entire album. A politically active side of Eminem shines through. (8.5/10)
3. Business - A hit single over in the UK, it continues Em's anti-bush attitude. A little tiresome. (7.5/10)
4. Cleanin' Out My Closet - Hit single anthem (...) (9.5/10)
5. Square Dance - Possibly the album's best track, this midtempo anti-song about the shortcomings of the bush administration hits the spot (10/10)
6. The Kiss - Another skit, this one in the form of an assasination. Soldier intro. (5/10)
7. Soldier - One of the disc's more uptempo cuts. In wich he refers to his life as a gangster after high-schoo (l0/10)
8. Say Goodbye To Hollywood - Good song, subject matter reminiscent of Snoop's Murder Was The Case. Good song. (9.5/10)
9. Drips - Cut from the clean version for good reason. Obie Trice shines on the STD anthem. (7/10)
10. Without Me - Slim Shady shines through for one track, and makes it one of the best. Huge hit single. (10/10)
11. Paul Rosenberg - Skit in which Paul calls Eminem and tells him not to shoot his gun outside. (2/10)
12. Sing For The Moment - The Aerosmith collabo makes this one of the greatest, ghostliest, most enchanting songs ever recorded. Eminem's greatest recording. International hit. (11/10)
13. Superman - Another song which hints at the Slim Shady alter-ego, this one shows the sexual side. This single delivered a new ennergy to radio. (10/10)
14. Hailie's Song - Another underground hit. Em's vocal debut, this heartfelt song really put's you in Em's shoes. (10/10)
15. Steve Berman - A skit where Eminem kills a praise-filled record label exec. A good skit. (5/10)
16. When The Music Stops - Another D12 track. This one isn't exactly as good as any other ever recorded. (6/10)
17. Say What You Say - Dre and Em rap about Jermaine Dupri and bag on him for the whole song. Bland beat. (7/10)
18. 'Till I Colapse - Nate Dogg shines, Eminem continues his self contamination. (7/10)
19. One of Eminem's greatest. A duet with daughter Hailie Jade, this flawless track blends Shady and Marshall. Another underground hit that shows how Slim Shady and Hailie Jade correspond. (10/10)
20. Curtains Close - Ken Kannif's laugh-out-loud end skit. Entertaining version of without me. (5.5/10)
Free Music Review: Not As Good As The Marshall Mathers LP,But Still Good.

Alot of you don't even see the talent,all you do is concentrate on how many curse words he says.But if you look past the vulgar language,you can definitely see the talent.I am going to use my rating system,with 0 being the worst and 5 being the best.1.Curtains Up-(0/5)Basically,this is just a bunch of sounds and nothing interesting.
2.White America-(5/5)I found him screaming "WHITE AMERICA" over and over again to be very annoying,but the rest of the song is great.Not a bad way to start the CD.
3.Business-(5/5)This was another one of those catchy Eminem songs.This one is definitely worth checking out.
4.Cleanin' Out My Closet-(5/5)You have all heard this one before.It gets annoying after hearing it a bunch of times,but it's still great.
5.Square Dance-(5/5)Don't let the title fool you,this is a good song.
6.The Kiss-(?/5)This is another skit.I didn't really know how to rate this one.
7.Soldier-(3/5)This was one of my least favorites.Most of the time I skip it.It's just not good enough.
8.Say Goodbye Hollywood-(5/5)This is a good song to listen to.It never gets annoying.
9.Drips-(5/5)The 2nd best song on the CD.It has alot of sexual references.But it tells you to try not to get aids.
10.Without Me-(5/5)You all know this one to.It brings back the whole Slim Shady first single material.
11.Paul Rosenberg-(1/5)Basically,I didn't really find this skit that funny.All he talks about is telling Eminem not to carry his gun around and hollers the F word every chance he gets.
12.Sing For The Moment-(5/5)He samples Aerosmith's Dream On on this song.This is great,except for the chorus.
13.Superman-(5/5)Talks mainly about relationships.This was a pretty good song.
14.Halies Song-(5/5)For a singing song,this is pretty good.He does rap though at the third chorus.This song is great to listen to at any time.
15.Steve Berman-(?/5)Another skit that I don't know how to rate.If you listened to this skit on The MM LP,then you will know what will happen here.
16.When The Music Stops-(5/5)My favorite song on the CD.It talks about how easily people confuse music with real life.
17.Say What You Say-(5/5)The 3rd best song on the CD.Eminem and Dr.Dre diss J.D. mostly on this song.
18.Till I Collapse-(5/5)He won't stop rapping until he goes down in history,as the song tells you.Note:That was not an exact lyric from this song,but it gives you an idea of what this song is about.
19.My Dad's Gone Crazy-(5/5)His daughter has a guest spot on this song,and I think the title speaks for itself.
20.Curtains Close-(0/5)I personally didn't think this was a good outro.It is basically just that Ken Kaniff guy singing his version of Without Me.

Free Music Review: Shady's back and better then ever!
Hit: 5 Stars
Shady seems to get wizer with his lyrics ever album. This album explodes with great lyrics, beats, and a tight production. Dr. Dre and Eminem are the best duo. Marshall tells about social issues in America he expresses his thoughts in great detail throughout the album you get a sense of what he is going through in his life.Curtains Up Skit- Show's Eminem ready to talk on the microphone.
White America- Displays Eminem's talent to reach out to his fans and how's he's influenced them awesome song! Very heavy
Business- One of my favorite tracks it's awesome with Dre's beats. It's kind of a batman and Robin duo. Great Lyricsm on this track it's a standout!!
Cleanin Out My Closet- Eminem talks about his fame, his ex wife, and his mother, this song tells the fans what Eminem's feeling.
Square Dance- Don't let the title fool you. Eminem seems mad on this track he trash talks canibus! It's a good rap song.
The Kiss Skit- The events that led to Eminem's arrest.
Soldier- Tells about how even though Eminem has had lawsuits against him, the press against him, and his newfound fame, he takes it all in and still moves on like a soilder.
Say Goodbye Hollywood- Talks about all the things that have happened to Shady and how he needs to keep his feet above the ground.
Drips- Talks about Obie Trice he raps about sex and STDS. Basically a son about Eminem's fictional girlfriend.
Without Me- One of my favorite tracks. Eminems first lead single and he basically tells about how he's back and better then ever. Very funny song.
. Paul Rosenberg (Skit)- Em's manager telling em not to carry a gun around anywhere.
Sing For The Moment- Aerosmith tune telling how his fans and other enterainers are attached to em.
Superman- Tells about his ex wife. And how he can care less about the situation. How's he single and his laid back attitude.
Hailie's Song- Lovesong to his daughter. Describing his feelings in this heartfelt song.
Steve Berman(skit) - The head of Interscope records says what he wants to say about this album.
When The Music Stops- Awesome talks about Em's issues and what he's feeling tight beat guest spot by D12 one of my favorite songs on this album.
Say What U Say - Em and Dre rap dissing Jermaine Dupri.
'Till I Collapse- Don't really like this song tells about how em is going to continue with his rap career till he collapse how much he loves the game and how rapping is his life!
My Dad's Gone Crazy- Eminem shines on this song it tells about him and what we've known all along Em is a little crazy!
The Curtains close- The Em show sadly ends.

Great album best Eminem one and heres my track ratings!1. Curtians up (skit)- BORING! What happened to public service announcment? 3/10
2. White America- Good very good and a bit of a rock song to me. 10/10
3. Business- good but not great. This was the 2nd Eminem song I heard. Real Slim Shady was the 1st because only last year I started liking eminem. 8.5/10
4. Cleaning out my closet- Emotional and good plus decent beats as well. 9.5/10
5. Square dance- OK but I dont listen to it much 7/10
6. The kiss (skit)- Skit which you can listen to together with soldier. 7/10
7. Soldier- Good and I like the song a fair bit. 9/10
8. Saying goodbye to Hollywood- I like it but I dont love it because I dont like the lyrics but the beats are fine. 8/10
9. Drips with Obie Trice- Good but 2 very long verses but good. Obie's good in it too. 8.5/10
10. Without Me- Funny and catchy. Good video where he's dressed up as Bin Laden. 10/10
11. Paul (skit)- The usual Paul skit which has appered on all of eminem's so far albums. This 1 he warns him not to carry his gun around with him. 8/10
12. Sing for the moment- Good song which has a rock theme and this song got me an A in art homework which I'm normally rubbish at! This was because while doing the homework, I was listening to it. 9/10
13. Superman- Good but the video was banned but if you have the 8 mile DVD you can watch it on that. I like the girls vocals as well. You can also hear the girls vocals on Drug Ballad on The Marshall Mathers LP. 8.5/10
14. Hailies song- This is the only song which I give under 7 out of ten. Lame beats and Em in future stick to rapping not singing. 5.5/10
15. Steve Berman (skit)- Steve dont get a chance to say what he thinks about the new album! 8/10
16.When the music stops with D12- I like this one and I like D12 too. 10/10
17. Say what u say with Dr Dre- Good this one and Dr Dre's my 2nd favourite rapper after Eminem. 10/10
18. Till I collapse with Nate Dogg- Good and Nate doggs good at doing choruses as well. 9/10
19. My dads gone crazy- I like it but I would have liked it more if 1. Hailies vocals were cut out and 2. It was abbout Eminem's dad! 8/10
20. Curtains close (skit)- Funny and poor old Ken Kaniff is all on his own after the show and attempts to sing his own version of Without Me! Just when you thought Ken Kaniff was gone forever!!!! 9/10
Verdict Amazing and I love it a lot theres no faults except Hailies Song and Square Dance (sort of). Buy this now! Peace out Eminem fans!!!!
