Free Music Notes for Songbird: Rare Tracks and Forgotten GemsFree Music Review: Don't let the packaging comments stop you, this is a MUST HAVE! Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, the disks are a *bit* tight, but not nearly as hard as some of the comments have made it seem. The packaging is magnificent, the photos and Emmy's comments are worth the price, even without the music. And the music is everything an Emmylou fan could hope for. I've got all of Emmy's music, going all the way back to the early 70s, and this one is the ultimate. Don't hesitate.
Free Music Review: Emmylou on Emmylou Hit: 5 Stars
If you appeciate Emmylou Harris, then you'll appreciate this comprehensive retrospective which, she indicates in the book which accompanies the CDs, took her several years to compile. With so many tracks, clearly no one will like every song, but every Harris fan should appreciate the voice doing the song. This compilation is a "must have" for any Harris fan.
Free Music Review: It's Emmylou, `nuff said! Hit: 5 Stars
The voice is still the same voice I first heard many years ago. Pop a CD in my player and I'm 20-something and back at the Childe Harold. What more could a DC area boy want?
There are some things on it I don't care for, and some I wish were here. But the voice is still the voice. If you like Emmylou, buy it now!
Free Music Review: Just what I was looking for! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD set is not available in stores anymore and is no longer available to order NEW. It also contains many rare recordings that I've never heard before and some that are old favorites. I love this set and, although, I must admit, I ordered it for one song . . . I have no regrets that I splurged for the collection. It's music!
Free Music Review: Emmylou is truly a rare gem Hit: 5 Stars
Emmylou Harris has a terrific compilation of music ranging from folk to country to classic rock. She is one of the greats and has shared the stage with most of the greats. This set captures many classic duets and is truly a great asset to any music fan's library.
