Free Music Notes for Enigma 3: Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!Free Music Review: Wonderful CD Hit: 5 Stars
The first thing I wanted to take note of is the title is in French, not Latin as one of the other reviewers stated. They should find out more information before posting something incorrectly. Their translation of the text is correct though.I have all of the Engima CDs and I enjoy all of them. The music is wonderful. This CD is great to sit back and listen while doing homework and some other hobby. I remember first hearing about it during and ice skating event. The Finnish ice skaters, Rokhomo and Coco (not sure of the spelling) used the song "Beyond the Invisible" to skate their long routine to. The group Enigma even asked them to skate in the video. So, if you ever have a chance to see the video, you will Rokhomo and Coco in it. I truly recommend any of their CDs to anyone.
Free Music Review: Pleasing to the ears, soul, and spirit Hit: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful album, and I happen to be listening to it right now. It is full of relaxing tunes, as well as songs that make you want to get up and coreograph to the whole thing (if you're into that sort of thing, like I am). This is not a CD you can just easily turn off, you have to listen to the whole thing. And once it's over, you'll think, "That's it!? I want more!" and you'll probably listen to it over again. I love Enigma's use of chanting monks, which makes their music so beautiful. As well as the singing in various languages. It's very ethnically diverse. The only thing on this CD I'm not too fond of is the begining of track number 9. It actually kinda annoys me, but that doesn't mean that you won't like it. The rest of the CD makes up for it ten times over.
Free Music Review: Excellent, Just Excellent, A MUST HAVE Hit: 5 Stars
When I bought this disk, I was waiting for something similar to E1 or E2, but my surprise was enough when, listening to it, it was quite different at first two disks.First, this disk has more feeling each one of the songs, the majority of the songs is sung, not like in the first two. Is not there song that stands out others, all, on the without exception, are they excellent, mainly "Why?" and "The Child In Us," where does more feeling leave to do it float. A disk in order to buy and listen to, but if they could listen to it with headphones and with thoroughly, greatly better, they listen to a world totally different if they listen to it without the headphones. A disk for the collection, and more if they are fanatic of Enigma. Greeting.
Free Music Review: A warm place Hit: 5 Stars
Enigma's most mature album. A delicate blend of soft beats and subtle layers. Listen and you'll pick out new sounds each time. Unfortunately Cretu's voice is rather harsh at times- especially on Why ? Which is a fantastic track when the choir comes in at its mid point and MC sings without shouting. It would be better if he refrained from straining so much - alas that's not to be ( E4). Of course I can't really say that as then Cretu wouldn't be Cretu.... Anyway the subtle use of chant samples here is quite wonderful. I love the more muted sound. Everything is warm. The sound evolves and envelops, surrounding slowly. E3 is more lush than its two previous counterparts and provides a much more cohesive emotional journey. A journey I think you'd like to take.
Free Music Review: The King may be Dead, but Engima Lives on... Hit: 5 Stars
I'm listening to this beautiful piece right now...the odd conglomeration of Morphing Thru Time is enough to calm even someone as frazzled and stressed as myself.Who would've thought that Enigma would continue to improve with time? I guess I should've given them more credit...I was a bit wary as I opened the CD, but I now know I shouldn't have been. I still have yet to find anyone who can top the breath-taking arrangements of Enigma...no one else can cross so many elements in music while still remaining in the realm of good taste. Combining opera with electric guitars is something that should turn out in disaster, but Enigma has an excellent hand when it comes to obscure recipes for beauty and relaxation.
