First of all, I love all of Enyas albums.A day without rain, is the same style Enya fans have come to love.It may be a little short but,SO WHAT,all artist have some albums that are longer than others.Are we going to put Enya on a timer? If you dont think its worth the price,dont buy it! As for me,this album has the same beautiful music,both vocal and insturmental,that I found on all of her other albums. And Roma did a great job on the lyrics. Now I have to say this. I wish some people would stop criticizing Enya so much. Things like, she needs to change her style,all of her songs sound the same.Do you people listen to her because you like her music,or are you just looking for something to gripe about? Why dont you go pester someone like Ciline Dion,Britney Spears,or Pink? Those girls,and some others out there,could learn something from Enya about music. Most rock and pop singers,male and female, could learn something about CLASS from Enya.When was the last you saw Enya in public half neked? NEVER! And in case you havent noticed, several million copies of this album has sold in the US alone! This tells me someone likes Enyas style or she would not be doing so will,would she? If you wont to listen to alot of screeching,there is pleanty of that music out there.But if you like soft-gentle music and a beautiful voice,then Enya is for you!The next time you Enya critis listen to her music,try it with your fingers out of your ears and I bet you will like her as much as I do.Free Music Review: Well Worth the 5 Year Wait!

It's been a long five years for me and for most of the millions of Enya's dedicated fans, but 'A Day Without Rain' makes that wait worthwhile! Sure, some people are criticizing Enya for sticking with essentially the same formula for her songs, but I certainly don't want her to change dramatically. I don't think any of her fans want her to. What we expect are lovingly crafted musical masterpieces and all 11 songs on 'A Day Without Rain' fit that bill perfectly. We trust Enya completely to make every note, whether vocal or instrumental, a critical part of each song and we trust that she would never release an inferior product to her audience. Few artists are as involved in their work or take as much time to carefully compose, perform and produce each track. Enya does and she certainly shouldn't be criticized for that. If you've enjoyed any of Enya's previous works, you'll love this CD as well. The overall tone of this CD seems a little more jovial than her previous work, with the tracks 'Wild Child' and 'Flora's Secret' and 'One by One' and 'Lazy Days' being absolutely delightful. Breathtaking ballads like 'Only Time' and 'Fallen Embers' will soften any heart, while the driving, chant-like 'Tempus Vernum' will grab anyone's attention and sustain it until the final note. This is definitely one of those CDs where you don't want to skip any of the tracks. A 5 star effort without a doubt. Buy and enjoy.Free Music Review: never heard music this refreshing!!!

I bought this cd along with Paint the sky with stars. I must say this is the greatest cd I own. I have never heard anything like Enya. Her angelic beauty, to music is outstanding. I feel so happy when I listen to this cd. A day without rain, is a very beautiful cd from start to finish. I love every song my only complaint is it's too short. I remember downloading this cd, for my ex-girlfriend's brother. I thought it was crap then a month ago I heard only time. It made me just close my eyes. It was snowing when I heard it. So I just felt like I was floating then my friend let me use. Paint the Sky with Stars and A day without Rain. I fell in love with those albums. To think I quit, listening to rap for awhile. Thank you Enya for opening my eyes, to your beautiful voice. She is so wonderful Wild Child is so beautiful, you can't help but smile. They don't make music like this anymore. I will be buying her older stuff. Just to hear the beauty this woman can offer. When I take the train downtown. I just pop Enya in and my mind gets refreshed. Especially Flora's Secret. She just keeps me mesmerized. I am not disappointed in her cd at all. She sounds so romantic, when she says adios :). On one by one keep the hits coming Enya very talented woman. Upon hearing Enya had released a new album I was dubious as to its quality following the somewhat flat 'Memory of Trees.' I was however absolutely delighted to find no such disappointment in this artful album. Though no 'Watermark' this album gives the best cross section of Enya's work yet. Though sticking with the more positive vibe of 'Trees it includes some darker pieces, illustrating the scope of this brilliant woman.Another thing to note is a return to continuity. I believe that much of the success of 'Watermark' can be attributed to its seamless transition from piece to piece, forming a tapestry of sound. 'Trees parted from this method but 'A Day Without Rain' provides a brilliant listening experience with easy transition from song to song.
Most notable on this album are 'Wild Child' and 'Only Time' for thier star quality. It is good to hear Enya attempting to craft tunes with star quality, capable of reaching the heghts of 'Orinoco Flow' whilst mantaining such an excellence of sound, far greater than any of the more mainstream efforts from 'Trees. Enya has achieved an excellent blend of pieces which will please the masses and pieces which encapsulate her true depth and essence.
Overall an absolutely excellent effort by Enya to provide relaxation, spirituality and enlightenment. I hope we hear from her again soon.
Free Music Review: A day without pain

All human beings suffer.We suffer at different rates. In between moments of suffering there are moments of intense enlightenment, introspection, self-awareness, joy.
These are the very moments Enya captures in "A Day Without Rain."
I am not an Enya fan. Never heard of her before the song "Only Time" haunted my life three times in one week. First, I heard her song in a movie preview while waiting to watch "Hanibal" (great soundtrack by the way). Later in the same week I fell asleep with the TV on. I woke thinking for a moment that I had died and crossed over. I heard this angelic music, a prayer in musical form filling the night. It was Enya performing on Leno. Finally in the same week, I watched "Providence" with my wife. This particular show really touched me. Then this same song began invading my soul. The show ended with a powerful intertwining of "Only Time" with the show's suffering characters.
The entire CD is a prayer, a Psalm, a hymn. You can't listen to this CD without changing. Enya invades your heart, soul, and mind. She encourages you to believe that you're not just the chance explosion of thinking cells. You are a spiritual being with a hold on eternity. You are forever.
I encourage you to listen, learn, grow, love.
