Free Music Review: Greater tracks are... in Loxian language...
Hit: 5 Stars

I love Enya and love her beautiful music - no one does music like her. I have to admit that I was too anxious for a new Enya cd.

When I listen to 'Sumiregusa' (for a japanese commercial) - last Spring I was too excited.
And when I was listenning to this new Amarantine I get a little disappointed.

There ARE very beautiful songs - in fact all of them, but the ones that impressed me the most are: 'Less Than A Pearl', 'Amarantine', 'The River Sings', 'Sumiregusa(Wild Violet)' and 'Drifting'.

Some of the best tracks - especially tracks 1 and 5 - are sung, not in english, nor gaelic, nor quenya or anykind of elvish (The Lord Of The Rings), nor any language we know... but Loxian Language - created by lyricist Roma Ryan(!) These are the most sublime tracks on the entire cd and the most satisfying ones too.
This new language - Loxian - you can find more details on the book by Roma Ryan - 'Water Shows The Hidden Heart' - wich is also the name of the last track in 'Amarantine'.

And the great of all 'Sumiregusa' is sung in japanese! This time Enya didn't sung in gaelic! And I love her singing in gaelic!

And the other fabulous track, 'Drifting', only instrumental and it's not - this time - the first of the album. This one sounds like a good classic composition! Yes! Believe me!

The other tracks are good but not so good as the ones found in the other previous Enya cds! But enjoy! If you like Enya, please buy it! Anyway, it IS so hard for us to get a new cd by Enya so we just have to crab it when the chances came.

Free Music Review: ENYA - The phenomenum
Hit: 5 Stars

The Celts was the first Enya song I listened to. I listened to it in a video from my sister's fifteen year old birthday.
I got amazed, but I thought there were many people singing together, so it took some time to discover it was this magic person I'm totally and utterly in love with nowadays - ENYA.
Orinoco Flow, Storms in Africa, Only Time are some of my favourite songs, from previous albums, but to be honest I love each single song.
Amarantine is brilliant! It is introduced with a song in Loxian. This language was taken from the book "Water shows the hidden heart", by Roma Ryan. The title of this book is also the title of Amarantine's last track. I wonder if the language was created by Roma based in Tolkien books.
There is no song in Gaelic, different from the most part of the albums. On the other hand, there is a piece in Japanese.
My favourite tracks are Amarantine, It's in the rain, The River Sings, Amid from the falling snow and Water shows the hidden heart.
Waiting for Enya's new albums leads to anxiety, but the result is worthwhile. This precious CD is the result of dedication and enchantment, resulting in a perfect melody.
I'm looking forward to buying the video. Unfortunatelly Enya DVD was not sold in Brasil.

Free Music Review: Another Enya Masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't have enough good things to say about Enya's work. She is my favorite single music artist of all time. Her songs exude an audible beauty that touches the soul. I find her music transcendent. In addition, Enya's albums contain tracks whose lyrical style changes. Most of her songs are soothing, captivating melodies, but Enya shakes things up every so often with a hard, moody piece thrown in. It keeps things from getting stale, if there was ever such a risk.

Amarantine continues Enya's well-deserved reputation for perfection in music. Every track on here is something special, but some really stand out to me. 'Less than a pearl' is enchanting. 'The river sings' manages to be both light and heavy while making you want to riverdance. 'Long long journey' just plain makes you feel good. 'Someone said goodbye' is pleasantly catchy. 'Drifting' makes me cry because it evokes sad images in my imagination.

If there was ONE thing to complain about, and this is minor, it's that the tracks are all fairly short. This is common in Enya's music. Four minutes is long for an Enya song. Look at it this way though, if the music were BAD, then no one would be craving more of it!

There's a reason Enya's work is used in movies and commercials, and why so many people love it. Buy this album and find out why for yourself.

Free Music Review: My favorite Enya cd yet
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been an Enya fan for a few years, I love new age music for its soothing, tranquil and non aggressive atmosphere when I want to sit back and chill out.

This CD should please every and any Enya fan, as it is purely to the core ENYA.
Her voice ranges from a delicate coil of a breathed whisper to warm and soothing tones that sound like a liquid jewel. I think that I can listen to this album on repeat for a few hours. Each song is different yet magically beautiful.

My favorites are;
Amarantine; rich and light at the same time, very Enya in nature. Sounds like a Minuet and has a wonderful and very catchy chorus. It sounds ancient yet so light.

Drifting ; mostly music and no singing, but the most beautiful cello and piano I have ever heard. It sounds like a dance in slow motion in the middle of winter, simply amazing; it almost brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. The throbbing sound of cello is deep and slow, I am listening to it as I type this; it sounds like a love ballad; haunted and rich.

It's in the Rain; wonderful song, I literally feel like the rain she sings about washes over my face. It's soothing, wonderful and almost sad.

I love all the songs, and I can't say enough about it, it's an easy choice when you want something great to listen to. Lovely!
