Free Music Review: Enya - the everlasting flower

The "Amarantine" flower is a good metaphor for Enya's music, which seems to blossom eternally, and especially now. This new album brings the best from Enya: it is melodical, moving and touching, more than ever. The title song is truly addicting, and my other favorites are the emotional "If I Could Be Where You Are" and "Sumiregusa", the upbeat "Somebody Said Goodbye" and the instrumental "Drifting", to name a few. All of the songs follow her soothing style, rich with voice harmonies sung by herself alone, angelic melodies, and an accompaniment consisting of synthesized textures together with string orchestra. And one final favorite of mine: if you like Enya's music, you will love Arye Geiman, a very romantic composer, whose music really awakens your imagination. What can I say but that this album is yet another tour de force by the multi-talented singer, Enya. Each song included on the disk is further evidence of the artist's unique understanding of what her fans want and will ultimately cue up at their favorite record store to purchase. Let's face the reality here, shall we? Enya fans worldwide may not necessarily want to hear her "branching out" into other musical genre, as so many artists have done recently, and that's not such a bad thing. It seems to work for Enya, after all, and how can you argue with success? As the old adage goes, "if it ain't broke....."
All in all, a worthy album to compliment her others, and Enya's fans will undoubtedly embrace it with open arms. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommendable as well!

So we have had to wait five years for something new from this highly talented lady, and if we have to wait five years for something as wonderful, you can add me to any list that would involve.
All the tracks are wonderful and in true Enya style so just put the disc on and switch the lights of lay back on the couch close your eyes and let the wonderful singing take you away
I only got ths disc last week and i just can't stop playing it. Everybody has there favorite tracks and if i had to chose any the three tracks that stand out for me are Track 4 If I Could be where you are. Track 5 The River Sings and Track 11 Amid The falling Snow.
So to finish with Just go buy this you will not be disappointed i have all her discs and this is one of the best if not the best

After reading the recent reviews of this album, I had to put my two cents in: Just because this album sounds similar to other albums Enya has produced, it's not a bad thing. I have a wide range of music I listen to, and Enya is at the top, because she HASN'T changed the way she sings. I agree that she has untapped potential yet, but let me remind everybody of what happened with Metallica. They stayed basically the same for many years, and then produced two back-to-back albums that lost several fans because they changed their music style. They never recovered, and are now looked at as a mediocre band. As much as I could hope that Enya could expand her music, I'm still grateful that she hasn't. You never know what you've got until it's gone....this album is beautiful.Free Music Review: The Second Coming Of Enya

Once again the angel from the Emerald Isle has descended from above to grace us with a -12 track- collection of enchanting, multi-layered tunes performed by the most beautiful voice in the world today.
Enya has not strayed from the gloriously textured sound that she is famous for and I for one like it that way. When you do something so well that is also so beloved it's best to leave perfection alone. I'm not sure if there's a song in this latest collection that will ever be a stand-out the likes of 'Orinoco Flow' or 'Only Time', but it's way too early to try and make such a determination. Either way, for all those parched ears that have waited five long years for her next release, drink deeply from the CD 'Amarantine.' You will not be disappointed.
