I absolutely love this CD! My favorite track is And Winter Came. Next would be Trains and Winter Rains. The others are phenomenal as well. An earlier post stated this CD has a feel of cynical commercialism. If you go to her web site and listen to her explanation of this CD she states she wanted to do a more modern take on Christmas carols. Now days unfortunately commercialism at Christmas time is just about every where you turn. The only grievance I have with this CD is I miss when in her earlier work she would blend her native Celtic tongue with English and this CD is predominately English. Other than that I would definitely call this CD a winner!Free Music Review: Peaceful

I am so happy that Enya put this album out, especially this year when times are so hard. It is beautifully done in that it has both a typical relaxing "Enya" spa like quality, and then she has added some fun twists to a few other songs for a bit of uplift. This album is great for Christmas, and can be listened to right on into January and February. I like how some artists are doing "winter" themes this year, so that you can listen to them even if your not Christian. You will not be disappointed in this lovely album. I miss winter very much, and feel lucky that she put this out, it takes my mind to soft falling snow in the mountains.....

There is most likely not a song recorded by Enya that I do not like, so my review shall reflect that of a "confirmed" fan of hers.
The CD, a newer one is beautifully orchestrated with a choice of songs that do reflect a winter theme, including a couple of Christmas tunes, but they are so enjoyable that I plan to listen to this year round.
The recording of "Trains and Winters Rains" is wonderful, as well as "Journey of The Angels". I highly recommend it to all who enjoy the beautiful Heavenly voice of this super talented singer! You will float among the clouds as you hear her singing these lovely songs!

I really love Enya's Christmas cd. It's unique in sound and very happy and soothing at the same time. Everyone else is coming up with Christmas albums that feature the usual songs. Although Enya has the traditional "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" I like the way the chorus wells up in the song. I also like the way they sang "Silent Night" in celt. The gems are the lovely "Journey of the Angels" and "Trains and Winter Rains". If you are adverse to listening to Christmas cds, then think of this as Enya's winter cd ... that takes into account that Christmas is celebrated at this time.Free Music Review: Another Winner

I have been a complete Enya fan since I heard her music being played at the Bay Theatre in San Francisco as we were waiting for the movie, "Prince of Tides" to start. I was so overwhelmed by what I heard that I had to go to the lobby to inquire about the CD being played.....and, as soon as the movie ended, I went to Tower Records and bought the CD. Her music gives me such a calming, wonderful spiritual feeling...and this latest presentation has those same qualities. If this is what you are looking for....you will not be disappointed if you purchase the CD......
