Free Music Review: Celts
Hit: 5 Stars

I find this music to be relaxing, especially after a long day at work. I also do massage therapy on the side and most of my clients have found this music to relax them. Many have asked me what the CD is so that they can purchase it.

Free Music Review: The Best
Hit: 5 Stars

To me, this is the best Enya album. Originally released as the soundtrack to a BBC special about Celtic people, it was re-released a year later under this title. I agree with one reviewer here in saying that it contains a wonderful booklet showing beautiful photographs and lyrics to some songs, but the real beauty is in the music itself. Enya's songs are heartrending to say the least. The listener FEELS her plight or her agony, or even her joy as he or she is drawn into her world. The songs range from dark and Gothic-sounding like "Boadicea" to more uptempo, Olympics-oriented tunes like "The Celts" (which is my favorite Enya song). You might say that with a cover photograph as serene and pure as this one, that the music would be virginal, childlike and lovely. This is all true, but, in all reality, Enya is a leaf of many colors, and I invite all music lovers to experience her variety, not just in this album, but in all of her other ones.

Free Music Review: Very Eccentric!
Hit: 5 Stars

A really great cd. I am a huge fan of enya- I have all of her cds. This one is good to have for the person who wants a full collection. If you're not very familiar with enya's music I wouldn't advise buying this one first. The only song in English on the cd is I Want Tommorrow. The electric guitar solo seems very out of place at first but you get used used to it after a while. There is a really beatiful violin solo during To Go Beyond II that also catches you off guard. The best songs are Aldebaran, I Want Tommorrow, Epona, Triad and Sun in the Stream II.

Free Music Review: Masterpiece to forever cherish
Hit: 5 Stars

In my most humble opinion, this is by far Enya's greatest work of art to date. The entire album flows so smoothly and comfortably. To say that there is a best track that stands above all others off the entire album is a sin. Every single track is a marvelous work of art. From the beautiful sounds of the flute, to the gentle stroking of the harp, it's all here. Added to those elements are the pure, lauded, crooning vocals from the one and only, Enya (how can one go wrong?). Some may overlook "The Celts" because of it's age (it may sound a bit outdated compared to current Enya works). However, when all is said and done, "The Celts" comes off as a very substantial masterpiece from Enya with beautifully fused elements, and anyone who opposes to her music, is simply jealous of her gift-given talent. A masterpiece.

Free Music Review: Enchanting Celt Stories set to Music
Hit: 4 Stars

Enya, former member of 'Clannad' brings together in 'The Celts' a project of stories, images and impressions that are a part of Celtic history and mythology. Set to beautiful digital, piano, percussion, uilleen pipes and harp music combined with the lush, mystical vocals of Enya. This may not be one of her best offerings compared to her other more recognize albums, 'Watermark' and 'Shepherd Moons.' I'm not saying it's a bad album, but most of her stronger works are found in the mentioned before. You may find this enchanting and a different approach of her work. This soundtrack creation portrays it's story into music about the various themes on the album.

Each piece is a work and interpretation of the legends of the Celts. 'Aldebaran' begins the journey of the future Celts to new territories. 'I Want Tomorrow' are thoughts of the present and echoes from the past in 'March of the Celts.' 'Deireadh an Tuath' and 'The Sun in the Stream' inspires the fertile earth and possession of truth. 'To go Beyond' reflects on the future. 'Fairytale' is a story of great love, jealousy, secrets and endurance. 'Epona' set to harp music protrays the Horse Goddess. 'Triad: St. Patrick, C? Chulainn, Oisin,' protrays the final loss of Celtic beliefs are converted to Christianity, the hero saga of T?in B? Cualgne, Tir na n Og-the Land of Youth are set to vocals. 'Portrait (Out of the Blue)' is a piano sound piece. 'Boadicea,' Queen of the Iceni tribe is vocal humming, drums and digital syths. 'Bard Dance' represents the image of ancient Celt set to drums and harp music in the ancient king's court. 'Dan y D`wr' a violin lament of Welsh village Capel Celyn-memories buried beneath the waters of it's sad fate. If you close your eyes and see the images of the ancient Celts, you get the feeling that you're visiting the times of kings, queens, heros and legends that shaped the land of the Celts. Just use your imagination.
