Free Music Notes for WatermarkFree Music Review: Review of "Watermark" by artist "Enya" Hit: 5 StarsThis was my first purchase of an album by Enya and I thought it to be a valuable addition to my collection. I am so pleased to see other performers such as "Celtic Woman" perform Enya's compositions with such skill that it can only serve to generate an entirely new band of enthusiastic listeners of Enya's music. The Irish of County Donegal were granted a gift from God of immense musical talent. Enya is the prime example of that talent.
Free Music Review: A Wonderful Collection from Enya! Hit: 5 StarsThis is one of my favorite Enya CDs! Anyone who loves peaceful calming music should really enjoy it. Considered by many to be "New Age" or "Celtic" I think her music is just "beautiful!"
Free Music Review: ...TIMELESS LOVELY MUSIC.... Hit: 5 StarsShe has never done better! This was the first I knew of Enya! I heard it playing when it first came out in my local music shop at the time, and asked the clerk what that was that was playing, and immediately bought a copy of this lovely album.
With all the wonderful stuff Enya has done since this, (and I have it all), I do not believe she has ever done better than this simply georgeous, lush, listening experience.....truly music to "take you away!"
MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ~operabruin
Free Music Review: Enya Watermark Hit: 5 StarsI have always enjoyed Enya's works and own most of her CD's. I seem to have missed Watermarks until recently. Now I am thrilled, this is the best of all. It's from 1989 but if you enjoy Enya buy this CD you won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Repetitive rhythms that take you away Hit: 4 StarsNew Age music is hard to define for those who have not heard it. But if you had to name landmark albums in the growth of New Age music, this would probably be one of them. Released in the late 80's, this is probably one of the most popular New Age albums, especially by a female artist. The musical pieces are a collection of both instrumental pieces and songs, all of which remind one of nature scenes. Many of the pieces sound similar, and listening to this CD will give you a good feel of Enya's vocal range and talent. But all the pieces are good, and some are downright great; especially the famous Orinoco Flow. Overall, a good buy for relaxing music.
