Long time Erasure fan straight from the 80's. I have collected and collected. I have gone out of my way to get import singles before internet purchasing was an option. Erasure is my favorite. They are the only repeat artists in my collection, so it was with saddened heart for me that when I listened to this I heard all my favorite music with completely different words. Some say masterful. Erasure fans LOVE Erasure. They certainly are talented and so on. I am saying nothing bad about their music.
However, Erasure really rapes their audience in their wallet. More often than not, one must pay for an entire CD of tracks that are already on at least a few other CDs just to get that one unreleased track. If one buys the entire Erasure catalog of CDs, one would have a great number of CDs. But if they didn't put the exact same track on so many of their releases, every track (every version of every song, be it the original, edit, re-edit, remix, alternate mix, etc.) would fit on a very small number of CDs.
The relationship between Erasure and their fans is like that of someone who unconscionably takes full advantage of a hopelessly whipped and dependent lover by constantly demanding money from them to avoid being dumped for someone else with more money.
Erasure fans - stop being suckers. They make you pay the price of a full CD so that you can get that one unreleased remix ONLY BECAUSE YOU CONTINUE TO PAY FOR IT. Supply and demand. Stop supporting this greedy band.
