Free Music Notes for NightbirdFree Music Review: Beautifully written and executed Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a fan of Erasure for a very long time. I admit I wasn't impressed with their last two releases. Nightbird is a refreshing addition to my Erasure collection. Andy Bell's voice is breathtaking and in top form. The single "Breathe" is like velvet, and gives me chills each time I hear it. There are songs to dance to such as "All This Time Still Falling Out of Love", or "I'll be there". I highly recommend listening to it first with headphones, Vince Clarke is really a master at what he does. Way to go boys! I love Nightbird!
Free Music Review: Erasure's best offering since the self-titled "Erasure" Hit: 5 Stars
If there was ever any thought that Erasure have lost their pop music magic, let this album lay those fears to rest. Vince Clarke's synthesizer twinklings provide a fresh and interesting backdrop to Andy Bell's soulful voice. The album's only weak point is "I'll Be There." It sounds a bit like a forced radio single. Evenso, its loads better than what is currently being played over the airwaves.
If you haven't given Erasure a listen to in a while, get this album and rediscover your love affair with synthesizer pop music.
Free Music Review: Amazing Album Hit: 5 Stars
I've always liked Erasure, but this album has fast become one of my absolute all-time favourites. The first listen, I wasn't sure what to make of it. The next listen, I was hooked. I listen to this CD over and over, almost everyday. It's a great driving CD, BTW.If you're skeptical, spin tracks 2, 3 and 4 in a row. Play them loud. If those don't move your body, nothing will. I'm now convinced Andy Bell and Vince Clarke are gifts from music heaven. I'm buying every single and can't wait to hear what comes next. Simply amazing.
Free Music Review: Great album for Erasure fans!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Erasure's been my favorite group since Oh l'Amour. I loved every album in 80's. I only really liked two albums in the 90's, I Say I Say I Say and Cowboy, and this album beats both of them. It's an album that you can listen all the way through. Every song is good. Two songs that really stand out for me are Lets take a rocket to the moon and I broke it all in two. Every fans taste is slightly different, but if you liked the same two albums from the 90's, this is a must buy. Thanks Andy and Vince!
Free Music Review: Fantastic release Hit: 5 Stars
I was very pleased to listen to Nightbird after worrying they would continue to slide into obscurity. But no worries! Nightbird joins my favorites like Chorus, I Say I Say I Say, and Cowboy. Erasure has been turning out hits for long enough that I would respect their decision to make whatever music they like (hard to imagine anyone chasing the Top 40 their whole lives). Fortunately, this album is going to sit VERY well with the fanbase. I keep listening over and over. Definitely worth owning.
