This comeback for the Animal's Eric Burdon is a powerful blues/rock CD. For a 65 year old man, or the age of The Rolling Stones, this is a great soul-drenched CD with good singing, superb playing and an excellent recording. It's very interesting and entertaining with different flavored songs and even has some New Orleans rock. A helluva' mighty fine tasty CD to enjoy many times over, this treasure will often be played and is a must-have to round out your rock collection.Free Music Review: Old Masters Mastered

What a good feeling the Soul of a Man cd gave to me. It was nice to hear Eric singing the blues again and we all know he has the voice for it. I think Eric sounded as good as he did so many years ago. I have enjoyed Eric Burdon's songs for a long time. I think this is one of his better cd's. I would like for him to write some blues songs and make another blues cd. I think he could also pull off a good jazz cd but he would have to change his band.Free Music Review: Sweet!!!!!

What a great CD!!! I've been a huge Eric Burdon fan since I was a teen growing up in the 60's and this CD is the best work he's done since the original Animals...IMHO. His voice is commanding....all the stuff he's put his body through he sounds better than ever! And with the great songs and musicians this CD hits it out of the park.Free Music Review: Top Quality

I have had this disc for a while now but it still amazes me how good it is. It starts with five fairly uptempo tracks and then seems to slip into a groove from 6 ( feeling Blue ). Great stuff. Great musicians, great songs, great voice.
Have a listen... you'll be shaking your head and smiling in no time.

This is a great CD for blues lovers! Eric has the best voice - hasn't been touched by age thank goodness! Being a big John "Rabbit" Bundrick fan, it was cool to hear 2 of his old songs revived and out to listen to again! Awesome job!
