Free Music Notes for The Road to EscondidoFree Music Review: Incredible surprise Hit: 5 StarsI have seen Eric Clapton in concert several times: Money and Cigarettes tour, with Mark Knopfler, Forever Man tour. Over the years I have been quite the fan, but not so much in recent years. Then I hear the song Danger on a local radio station and figure it's a tune from the Clapton/Cale CD. A few days later I hear yet another song. Loved 'em both. So I bought the CD and absolutely love it. Billy Preston (RIP) is a big-time contributor on several of the songs. Honestly, I can see myself listening to this CD quite a bit over the coming months. It's a 5-star item in my book.
Free Music Review: What a great pairing!! Hit: 5 StarsThis is a wonderful CD. It is unplugged blues at some of its very best. JJ Cale and Eric Clapton are two of the best guitar players around today, and there are other musicians that are very good, too. I hope they will team up again, and soon.
Free Music Review: Same ole road. Hit: 3 StarsVery disappointing as I expected new, fresh music but got an entire CD of sameness. Vocals are a muddy duet. The instrumentals are good but for some reason there is an organ/electric piano that becomes very irritating about half way thru listening. Can't figure out why it was felt to be necessary. Sort of like listening to a group in a lounge, who thinks they can write music.
Free Music Review: seasoned performers Hit: 5 Starswhat can one say, the worlds two best R&B stars on one CD, you get what you expect
Free Music Review: JJ-Clapton Hit: 4 StarsPleasant and very listenable, not the best of either artist by a long shot. If I wasn't an admirer of JJ from way back, I might not "get it". It's just great to hear something fresh from a couple of legends.
