This is a great mix of Eric's work. I started reading his book and understanding were his songs were coming from and why he wrote them. Then the need to hear them drove me to order the cd which I listened to while reading the book on a plane flight. The cd and book are a match! Having grown up listening to the Yardbirds and John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, I became very familiar with Eric Clapton. The beauty of Complete Clapton is it demonstrates the evolution of Eric through the various bands he played with over the years. What makes it enticing is his roots are always based on the blues. I am a HUGE Clapton fan, and have been for many years. This CD is great, with lots of songs from all the different Clapton eras. Problem is there are so many songs I'd like to have had on the CD that it would have probably taken 4 or 6 CD's to include them all. Everything said and done, I really like this double CD set, and would recommend it to any Slowhand fan. CLAPTON IS GOD!!!Free Music Review: Clapton

I'm so glad that Eric Clapton wrote this book. I've been a fan since the beginning and it was wonderful to hear his story in his own words. It was a quick read full of lots of details that answered lots of questions I had. I'm so thankful that he turned his life around and has found true love and happiness! This an excellent collection of much of Clapton's early & mid career. There are some other tunes I would have added and it doesn't go into his newer foray back into his roots; the blues, but that would have added and CD or 2. I wouldn't mind another collection from the man. This is a great CD & one I'm going listen to over and over.
