Free Music Notes for BloomFree Music Review: The Paganini of Guitar tones it down a bit Hit: 5 Stars
Incredible mix of various styles on the CD, 16 songs in all. He plays any style perfectly of course. I hear echoes of so many guitar players and even vocalists on this one. Very eclectic. Eric admits to have been influenced by Jeff Beck (among many) and there is a sort of Industrial Funk number on here as well. Adrian Legg does a guest stint on the Jerry Reed number. Plenty of cool jazzy stuff. Long long wait for Eric fans, but have to agree with the other interveiwer; well worth it. Total quality.
Free Music Review: Eric Johnson continues to satisfy as Guitar Great! Hit: 5 Stars
Eric Johnson is a name spoken in reverent tones within guitar communities. His newest offering, Bloom, showcases the veteran axe-slinger's pristine tone, awe-inspiring chops and songwriting talent in ways his fans have come to expect. On this release, however, Johnson expands his release format to include many nuances of his ongoing musical growth.
Highly recommended to fans, both new and old. A guitar-player's dream.
Free Music Review: A Masterpiece to sit back and enjoy Hit: 5 Stars
This album, in my opinion, ranks up there with Ah Via Musicom. I want those casting rocks at my review to hear me out. I enjoyed this album just as much if not more. It is a totally different feel, different musically, but I can listen to this album over and over while relaxing around the house, driving, or just surfing the web. Incredible is the talent poured in to this CD.
Free Music Review: Yipes!....Another great one from Eric Johnson! Hit: 5 Stars
Grammy material...for sure! Original beautiful distortion violin tone from ace fret master Eric Johnson. Great and memorable songwriting abilities are reflected throughout...tones galore! Truly a fabulous music cd for the Summer Jam of 2005...and well worth the wait. And oh yeah.....come back to Minneapolis, Mr. Johnson!
Free Music Review: Absolutely Astonishing Hit: 5 Stars
Jaw droppingly good. How EJ has been able to maintain such a high level of consistency over the past 20+ years is an accomplishment in itself. An absolute masterpiece and a must have for any EJ fans out there. EJ is a rare breed and one of the few true guitar virtuosos left.
