Free Music Review: I love Amy Lee
Hit: 5 Stars

From A long time I have been a big Fan of Evanescence
After awhile I got their cd's and I came across this item.
So I bought it and was instantlly satisfied.
In the begining you can watch the concert live in Paris
And Amy's vocaly are hauntingly beautiful, and they leave you craving for more. She never ceases to amaze me with her talent on the piano and her vocals. After watching the concert, I watched the music videos, and then the best part... behind the scenes where you get to see Amy and her band who are actually pretty normal. They have fun and party and do stupid things like the rest of us. But of course on the side they have one of the best bands ever.
I would reccomend this product to anyone who loves Evanescence and wants to know more about them. This definetly gives the inside scoop!
I was lucky enough to actually go and see them live for their new album and is just as amazing.
Evanescence rocks. Amy rocks.

Free Music Review: Well done Evanescence....but make one better next time
Hit: 5 Stars

As it is Evanescence's 1st DVD, I found it very good, and I really enjoyed the live show, but it's kind of boring, because the stage is too simple, and there isn't any exciting moment in the show, and I gave it 5 stars because of the concert and the special features, all combinated, because it has very nice special features; all the videos, a 57min. behind-the-scenes footage and a hidden preformance of "Bring Me To Life", that I discovered about 1 month after I bought the DVD, and it is so cool, and it's very exciting and fun to look for it, and if you haven't found it yet, it's in one of the menus...
And I also gave it 5 stars because of the CD, and the 14 track "Missing". BUT one thing I didn't like was that it only has 13 live songs, and they didn't even sang all the songs from the album, but they missed just one: "Hello".
If you are Evanescence super fan, buy it. But if you're starting to be one, you'd better like to wait.

Free Music Review: :o o.o 0.o Ect, Ect.
Hit: 5 Stars

"Anywhere But Home" is awesome. Its TWO discs-- One is a CD, the others a DVD -- and includes a FULL concert in Paris. I know what your thinking. 'Thats not so great, I've heard ALL the songs, I just want it for the music videos.' While the music videos ARE unbearably[Spl? Heh heh. Oops.]cool, the concert is superior. I mean, really, man, its so neat! First off, the lights are VERY awesome. Amy actually sounds really good live. Ya'know, the only people I really think are good live are her and Avril. Seether, of course as well....Off topic, Off topic. ANYWAYS, the piano on "Thoughtless" forces me to gape in happiness. Before my Delicious Spam-Inflicted rant is over, let me just say that the Behind the Scenes are funny as hell.
Anyway, purchase the DVD or you will perish under the mighty hand of evil non-purchasing-music gods. I don't even know what I'm typing anymore. Ignore me.

Free Music Review: The continuation of Evanescence after 'Fallen'
Hit: 5 Stars

I often wondered after the popularity of 'Fallen' faded away and the leaving of Ben Moody (a co-founder of Evanescence) what would happen to Amy Lee and Evanescence in total. 'Anywhere But Home' is a double CD/DVD combo featuring Live in Concert performances from The Zenith in Paris from the 2004 European tour. The audio CD covers the complete concert and includes only one non-live song in the B-side 'Missing'.
The DVD contains the complete in concert feature and also a 1 hour behind the scenes footage and documentaries and interviews of the band and Amy Lee herself. Through navigation on this DVD copy the fan will find 6 music videos of the famous songs like 'Going Under', 'Whisper' and 'My Immortal'.
This album release shows Evanescence is not a spent force but Amy Lee and her trio of rockers will carry the torch on. I totally enjoyed the CD and DVD and all I can say, Amy's voice is wonderful.

Free Music Review: Same as "Fallen", but oh so different!
Hit: 5 Stars

I first bought "Fallen" and got saturated with their songs (after quite a number of times).
Then got "Anywhere but Home", and the DVD-CD combo just blew me away. Hit hog heaven again!

I feel these live versions are even better than those of "Fallen"; and, you got new songs as well. This is NOT like you bought the same album twice.

Two more comments:

- Yes, you can hear the public in the background (and foreground, mind you), but that is part of the magic of live concerts. The Beatles had same screaming when live, and nobody complained about it. C'mon, people!

- "Missing" is actually the LAST track. The Jewel insert places it somewhere else as well, which is wrong. The CDDB Internet listing has the same error. I submitted corrections, but doubt they'll take it. Beware.

Other than that, enjoy the fun and the goth!
