Free Music Notes for From Nothin to SomethinFree Music Review: Not a bad come-back Hit: 4 Stars
After a long break Loso comes back with that from notthing to something album... what could we expect? well, if you are waiting for outstanding, creative or very commercial beats this is not the right cd, even if fabolous is known for his club bangers beats selection. In that album, he really focused more on the lyrics, with some tight punchlines. Off course he is also in the rap-r&b category with some collaborations with mainstream r&b singers such as T-pain, Rihanna, Lloyd or Ne-yo. However the track with T-Pain is just simply so awful that i still can't figure out why it made it on the final version of the album. Those with the other singers are good, but i have a preference for the featuring with Lloyd, entitled "real playa like". It also has a collaboration with Lil Mo on the outstanding "what should i do" that in my opinion will be one of the best act of the rapper who delivers a song with a positive content. The sad note of the album is that there are too many featurings, for such a come back fan would have preferred to hear more of his solo songs than all of these sung hooks. So finally he came up with skippable tracks such as "I'm the man" with red cafe and "baby don't go" with T-Pain. In the other side he raised up the level with "change up" featuring akon where he delivers some tight a** lines and "return of the hustle" and "diamonds" the only real club banger of the album which happened to be the 1st featuring. The song with the "jamaicain of the moment" Junior Reid is really more interesting for its beat than for its content. There is aso a track featuring Pusha-T the half of The Clipse, which in my opinion is fairly interesting. My big disappointment is "Brooklyn" featuring jay-z and uncle murder, because i was honestly waiting more from jay... he sounds so awful these days like he doesn't care anymore! Other sad note of the album is that a lot of beats just sound the same!
So in the overall, loso comes back with a reasonable album, which is of course not a classic but where he really delivers good punchlines and some interesting stuffs that deserves to be checked out, so cop that cd!
Free Music Review: "Street Fidda Didda Damn" Hit: 4 Stars
From Nothin' to Somethin' is Fab's 4th Studio album and I have to say that after one listen to the whole album, I was not disappointed. Many people complain about Fab's delivery when he raps on this album....said his flow is lazy, monotone, and repeated...Well, Fab has always had that laid-back flow so I knew not to expect more than Fab's usual formula: Club Bangers. With that said, this album has many, many single potential....with three successful singles in constant play already (Make Me Better F/Ne-Yo, Return of the Hustle F/Swizz, Diamonds F/Jeezy)...I have no doubt that this album will go platinum. From Nothin' to Somethin' is Fab's best album to date, the beats are top-notch, His flows/word play has stepped up from "Real Talk" and the production on this album is as good as can be expected for a Fabolous album...and thats saying alot! People need to quit complaining about Fab enlisting an artist on nearly every track...When your hot, people want to be on your album and when your signed to a label as major as Def Jam...you best believe there are gonna be lots of collaborations! This here is a Home Run for Fab!
David's Favorite Track In The Following Order:
1. Make Me Better F/Ne-Yo (Crafty Production By Timbo, Great Hook/Verse by Ne-Yo & Fab's Laid-Back Flow...what more could you want?)
2. From Nothin' to Somethin' Intro (This Beat is Crazy Nice!)
3. Diamonds F/Young Jeezy (Another great Beat and Jeezy's Verse is Fire!)
4. Return of The Hustle F/Swizz Beatz (This beat screams Club Bangger!)
5. Gangsta Don't Play F/Junior Reid (Great Beat & Lyrics...Love the Hook!)
6. First Time F/Rihanna (Could/Should be the 4th single!)
7. I'm The Man F/Red Café (Another Great Beat...Some lyrics are a bit cheesy but good track none-the-less)
Free Music Review: I wasnt aware that.. Hit: 4 Stars
garbage was two words.. I must have been looking in a different dictionary.
On to the subject of Fab's new cd From Nothin' to Somethin' while i dont rate it as his best of all his work. I would give it 2nd best after his first cd which i still love. Yes, he has more featured artists on this cd. If it works and makes the track flow better then why not put it on there. I'm really loving a lot of songs on this especially the hot joint with Ne-Yo, Diamonds w/Jeezy (the song is straight fire) one of my favs of his in quite awhile. While i dont know if everyone is expecting a cd similar to "Real Talk", I know i'm not. I don't want an artist to keep putting out the same material as their previous CD just because it sold well and is comfortable for them to make.
I like the cd because Fab choose to go out and have those artists on his new release. Along with hot flows, nice beats and solid song choices, like it or not Fab is here to stay. I wouldnt give a whole lotta weight to what others have about the cd, check it out for yourself. However you have to and see for yourself what folks already know.
From Nothin To Somethin is on it indeed.

Definitely not his best but trust me it will grow on you. If you're a real Fab fan u will be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. The problem with this album is not a lack of features got em (Lloyd, T-Pain, Akon, Jay-Z, Ne-yo, Red Cafe, Rihanna) or hot beatz got em (Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz etc.) but a lack of hooks. Brooklyn w/ Jay-Z was especially disappointing for that reason. But The cd does have at least 7 pretty good tracks and who can deny the kid with the Grammy grin? Hope this helps. Najwa >:<
Free Music Review: F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S!!! Hit: 4 Stars
A lot of low star reviews I see on this page that is why I had to give this a four star instead of a three star I was going to use. This is not Fab's best work but it is still decent enough to buy or download. I like all the tracks because Fabolous is one my favorite rappers from this generation and I like his flow and style that he brings on every track he does. I recommend getting this but if you a hater then F**K OFF! Go download the new fifty cent songs and listen to him stumble along. BUH BYE
