Free Music Notes for Introduce YourselfFree Music Review: Mosely Makes Misery. Hit: 2 Stars
It's the efforts of the rest of the band that even pull this one up to two stars. I don't recommend BUYING this album, but if you find it in someone's collection, do give it a listen. It's interesting to see how much the band improved, and to hear the genesis of their future success.
Fortunately the other band members sing along enough on some of the songs, to make them listenable. And OK-- Chuck isn't all that bad... when he just speaks the lyrics, instead of trying to sing them.
I find this CD to be more listenable, imagining it as a kind of surfer-dude opera, with Chuck as a B-grade actor who was forced to sing. It makes him a little more sympathetic a character to put up with!
I agree with other reviews. This isn't a "pretty" album. But if you can enjoy something kinda messy, and you're in the right frame of mind, it's entertaining.
Free Music Review: No Patton no Way Hit: 2 Stars
Mike Patton made Faith no More (even if he wasn't in the abdn originally). his unique vocals made the band good, this Disc on the other hand is just horrible. For Days I tried to pull myself up to listen to it, but I couldn't get past a minute of each song. I'm so glad Patton came in and turned this band around. Only get this if you want to complete your Faith no More collection, other wise, stay FAR FAR away from this album.
Free Music Review: I can't get past Mosely's vocals. Hit: 2 Stars
My title sums it up...I purchased this just to complete my Faith No More collection. A little hesitant, I had heard the track "We Care a Lot" before and thought it was decent. Sadly to say that's the only track I could really get into. Mosely's vocal seem to basically ruin every track. Buy this if you're a completist like me..otherwise save your $$$.
