Free Music Notes for Take This to Your GraveFree Music Review: Good despite any dumb sterotypes Fall Out Boy has Hit: 5 Stars
I admit, it took me a while to get over myself and start listening to this album. But once I did, I was completely hooked. This CD has a wierd nostalgic vibe, even though I'd never heard half the songs on the album. It is just a really easy listen that makes you happy, and makes you want to dance. And believe me, I dont dance. Also, I think the lead singers voice sounds different than it does on their new album, and frankly I prefer it on this CD.
Best Songs: Tell Mick He Just Made My List of Things To Do Today, Grand Theft Autumn, Dead On Arrival, The Pros and Cons of Breathing.
Also, I feel pretty sorry for whoever these songs are written about, for instance:
Let's play this game called "when you catch fire"
I wouldn't piss to put you out
Stop burning bridges and drive off of them
....hahahahhaha, classy.
Free Music Review: awesome! Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the greatest albums! I first saw Fall Out Boy in March of 2003, and have been in love ever since! The album is well balanced with pop and punk with an almost emo feel. Patrick has an amazing voice that makes the awesome lyrics even better. Great CD, it makes me wish I lived in Chicago! Best Songs: Track #: 1. Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today 2. Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy 6. Sending Postcards From A Plane Crash (Wish You Were Here) 7. Chicago Is So Two Years Ago 10. Calm Before The Storm 12. The Patron Saint Of Liars And Fakes And that's my abriged list! All the tracks are great, but those are the ones that I listen to first when I put the CD in. Hope this was helpful, and welcome to the world of Fall Out Boy!"there's a light on in Chicago, and I know I should be home"
Free Music Review: this cd is fukin amazing Hit: 5 Stars
at first i thought this would be another one hit wonder with dead on arrival being there big hit, but i was completely off. this is one of the best bands i've heard ever. every song on it is great, i dont even listen to dead on arrival anymore as the other songs deserve just as much recognition. this cd rocks, its a must for anyone that likes punk, pop or whatever. from grand theft autumn to saturday to calm before the storm, everysong on this cd is unreal. fob must put so much time into their lyrics aswell cause there not singing about jerking eachother off, there singing about the tough times, leaving there home and what not. once again this is a must have, listen to me man, i've seen them in concert, i've been following them since they first formed over a year ago and they've already been signed and produced a full length cd, this bands gonna be huge.
Free Music Review: 5 stars for what it is Hit: 5 Stars
i'm fairly new to the pop punk genre (oh i hate lumping music into little boxes.. oh well). by the time i heard fall out boy (FOB), i'd run into enough pop/punk to know that most of the bands aren't very good. FOB is different. way different. their lyrics are meaningful and thought provoking, their music is choppy and exciting, and they've got a tight sound going. these guys are really commited musicians and it shows. every song on this album speaks to the heart, which i find unusual for this type of music. sure its a lot of fun to dance to, but i can also turn this on to study to, and sometimes i just sit back and think about the words. few other bands have this effect on me. i deffinately recommend checking this album out, espcially if you're like me and don't like most pop punk but you like the energy that it brings. FOB is for you.
Free Music Review: To my favorite liar, to my favorite scar Hit: 5 Stars
My buddy burned this cd for me. From the minute I listened to the first song I was hooked. After listening to the music and how tight they play together. I started listening to the lyrics that just stuck with me. I havent taken the cd out of my player for 6 months. They are coming in concert in about a week and I'm stoked. Someone was ragging on them that Patrick has a whiny voice that 12 year old scream about. I dont know if he was listening to the same band I was. Why would someone even waste their 10 minutes complaining on here if they didnt like something. They obviously suck because they have a huge fan base and are all over the place, yeah thats cause because they suck. I have respect for any band, I'm not sure if those people know the dedication and time it takes to make music. FOB is the best bet for your $$.
